I have been working at Alexander Dental Associates since January 2017. Dr. Alexander is very professional and treats his staff with respect and like family. I love working at Alexander Dental. The staff here works well together and we love being able to serve our patients and provide them the needed services. If you need a dentist, give us call and schedule an appointment, you will be glad you did. This staff loves their patients and works with them to get them in as quick as possible.
My husband and I are both patients at Alexander Dental Associates and are very pleased with the care that was given by Dr Alexander and his staff. Dr Alexander is not a "salesman" but gave us several treatment options and explained each one. Dr Alexander is a wonderful Dentist and I recommend him highly.
If I could give this a -10, I would. This dentist is nothing more than a salesman. I came in at 12:20 p.m. and did not even see anyone at the front desk until 1 p.m. My child had an abscess on her tooth that ruptured. When I came into the office, he said that because of her cavity that is the reason there was an abscess. That is true yes. He said that they could do a root canal on a baby tooth!! that would cost $700. I asked more questions about that and all he asked was for my signature and that he would do a follow up for free trying to sell me on the service and that we had to sign the paperwork now so he could go ahead with it. When I said that I wanted to think about it and had to ask my friend who was paying for it to charge it to her card, they swiped her card anyway without checking ID and said that it was done already. I told them I did not want to go on with the procedure and I wanted to get a second opinion, but they told me that they could not reverse the charges and that I had to pay them $60 to do the refund. I can understand a consultation charge but this was not a consultation. This appointment was trying to take money from us. The dentist didn't even check the x-rays in front of me and show me anything about my child's teeth. He blamed me for not cleaning her teeth correctly and that is the reason she got a cavity in between her teeth. I teach flossing and brushing in the morning and at night. This was a horrible experience and I hope no one else has to go through this. Never take your child to this Dentist Alexander. He is not a dentist for children; I do not even think he should be a dentist for adults. He is nothing more than a salesman. No bedside manner.
Just moved to Grovetown and found this amazing Dentist Dr Alexander and his staff. Everyone was so nice and welcoming, had a GREAT experience with the whole crew! I will definitely go back and recommend this office to anyone looking for a Fantastic dentist who gives a GREAT SHOT and staff that is very pleasant.
Please do not take the chance. I took my girls out of convenience because of his location. One daughter was scheduled for a cleaning. He had his nurse come out and speak to me and like a fool I let him do fillings and remove a wisdom tooth at the same time. I assumed He knew what he was doing. I'm currently looking for a new dentist to replace the fillings that FELL out. My other daughters fillings also fell out. This has never happened with another dentist. Shame on you for having your staff come on here and try to cover up your real negative reviews.
If I could give zero I would. We are a military family and Dr. Alexander was nothing but unprofessional and should not be practicing at all. He was my dentist for 2016. I tried going elsewhere but no one had openings in the time frame I needed. When it came to transferring he gave me the run-around on signing off my paperwork for weeks and then decided to say last minute he won't sign it because he is no longer practicing in the state of Georgia. It would not surprise me if it was for losing his professional license. He has horrible customer skills and as you can see through the other reviews he is greedy and can careless about his patients. He shouldn't be practicing in any state. He was rough, rude to his employees, and a LIAR! In Response To Owner: Exhibit A: I preferred Grovetown Family Dental patient from 2014-2016 They went out of network in January 2016. I needed a new dentist ASAP within the same area. Next dentist was Alexander right next to Family Dental who accepted military insurance. Made an appointment and had one visit. He was very rude to his assistant and I asked if that was normal, she pleasantly said "it's just his personality, I've learned to accept it" So it was no longer my business. He was rough with my examination and filling but he did get the job done. my lip ripped and discomfort in my gums Exhibit B: Since there was no other openings in the area and my son also needed a dentist I brought him in as well. He was 2 at the time. The dentist found a cavity and he said he would fill it with no sedation or ease with the pain. Reminder he is 2. I told him don't worry about it and took my son somewhere else. As for me, all my files were up to date and his office had access to all my files from middle of 2016 to last visit of 08/2017. Exhibit C: We got word we were moving over seas. I called his office and asked to see if they could access my most current records from 2017 and sign off on them. WHO HE WAS MY CURRENT DENTIST. He told me he would be out of town until Jan 1 and that I could just go to another dentist and they would sign off on it, WITHOUT being a patient. I knew that sounded sketchy but I double checked the facts. After calling the places he told me would sign off I called him back saying they said he was full of it. He then said he would be in his office on 01/03/18 and would sign the papers. I get there and only an assistant is there and she said he would not sign them because he is no longer practicing in the state of GA. Yet, his clinic was opened for another month. Get the clue dude. You need a big performance evaluation done. You may know your dentistry but you need to chill on rudeness, roughness, and learn some respect and costumer service.
I visited this so called dentist. All he is, is an insurance gouger. As soon as he reached my insurance level he quit. he also claimed that he had found a tooth that he didn't see after taking x-rays. What kind of dentist doesn't know where a tooth is but to gouge insurance money. I am filing a grievance because he left a piece of tooth in the spot where he so called found a tooth, and now I have an abscess. I personally don,t believe he deserves to even practice dentistry.
Great location and close to home. The customer service is great and have down to earth staff. My only negative for giving 4 stars is the wait time on some of the appointments I had after being called to the back to be treated. The doctor knows what he's doing and has a great sense of humor and tells you what you need to do up front at your initial appointment for treatment by showing proof of your X-rays taken and photos of the problem area.
This was my third bad experience at a dental office. I had never heard of the dentist or the office. I had a total of two visits. The first visit began well and aftet that everything went downhill. The biller at the office appeared to be running some type of hustle or was inexperienced. The dentist was strange aggressive with performing my services and seemed hostile and seemed. The dentist discussed some of my medical information loudly near the waiting area. A very unpleasant and strange experience.
I had been looking all over for a dentist that was reasonable and also did great work that would take my insurance. I found Dr.Alexander's office off wrightsbro road. He was gentle and every caring and last but not lease REASONABLE. His staff was awesome and caring. I definitely will be returing to his office next time.
