I don’t understand the good reviews. This place was disgustingly sticky-dirty. The audience talked through the movie and a group of women were on their mobile phones throughout the entire two-hour experience. The restrooms were filthy. And three popcorns and three sodas cost me more than $50. I will never go back. Ever.
Every single time we go we have a problem with people in the theater either talking loudly like they are in their own living room, or literally on their phones. Or people sit in our seats that we reserved. I swear, people forgot how movie theaters worked after the pandemic. There doesn't seem to be anyone enforcing any rules in this theater. With it becoming increasingly expensive currently $14/person, before any snacks/drinks to go to the theater, I expect a little more. They have a very nice theater here, they just need to enforce their rules for a better experience for everyone.
So, I understand that they don't control ticket prices, but to pay 16.41 for a movie at 430 and then not have ice in 3 different soda machines, have the nachos taste like cardboard $15.75 and be in a dirty theater-floors nasty, nor swept, restroom in need of cleaning-toilet paper all over the floor, no soap in the dispensers, all the papertowels fall out when you pull for 1 and the have the staff not care or try and rectify it promptly helps me make the decision to spend my money elsewhere. I plan to never come back to this theater even if someone else is paying. I just don't like it when the staff doesn't care, try and do anything about it or give a negative facial expression or body language when you ask them politely about something that you have paid for. I should be able to get a cold drink again NO ICE and the drink of my choice especially when I have paid $15.75 for it along with price of the movie ticket. I tried to get pictures of the restroom, but could not bring myself to go back in there based upon the state it was in when I first went into it.
Big, comfy chairs, good picture and sound. However, we pre-ordered and paid for popcorn, drinks and snacks that were supposed to be delivered to our seat within 10 minutes of the start of the movie. They never came. Went out to go ask about it, they told me to stand in line to talk to concessions, which would have been another 15-minute wait in the middle of the movie. Went to get a refund after, and was shorted on the refund.
This was, without a doubt, the worst theater experience I've ever had. The food was half frozen and tasted atrocious. The lobby is too small and snakes outside the door when busy, bathrooms were gross and narrow. Staff were kind but it couldn't save the way I assume AMC is mismanaging what used to be a cool independent theater. Children were also running and stomping throughout the film. I get that kids are kids but when it ruins an otherwise good movie that you spend $13 on per person it stinks. Also my recliner chair was broken to top it off and floor was quite dirty.
I was very disappointed in the condition of the Esquire. The floor was full trash and popcorn, both inside and outside in the halls. My seat was smeared and greasy. I has to clean it before I could sit down. The last hour was very hot and uncomfortable. The AC must have gone off around 10 pm. I will not be back!
If you want to be able to watch the movie in peace, visit another theater. Went to see Meg 2 and the young adults in there ruined the movie experience by talking loud and laughing. The food was good and no long line
We went here with friends to see "Wakanda Forever". We liked the movie and the theater we went to. Lots of space, good-sized seats that reclined. The aisles were wide which made for easy walking to and from your seat. The lobby was smaller than others we've been to, but that didn't matter. Going to this AMC theater made for comfortable viewing.
Seating is very comfortable. The staff was really nice, quick and service. From the looks of it, it doesn't get really busy there, so you have an enjoyable experience there if you don't want people there. Plus they serve other foods besides popcorn and nachos. We'll definitely go there again. 10 out of 10
Just saw Oppenheimer. Bought tickets and concessions online with a free $50 gift card I got from the Fetch app. 2 tickets and a drink took care of that card real fast! Got pulled over outside so better watch out for the boys in blue.
