I recently watched a movie here. The seats needs to be upgraded not so comfortable seating.
Do not go to this theater when using Movie Pass. Their crappy kiosk did not spit out our tickets so we waited in line to deal with an even crappier employee. Who instead of listening to our issue; started escalating the problem in a loud voice saying we still owe them $9.59. [Um, hello Movie Pass.] The employee also went on to yell at us she has been working for seven years and she know what she was doing. [Obviously not.] We finally got her to open the kiosk and lo and behold, there are the tickets! Their counters were sticky. Their seats was completely stiff upright. It smells like a cheap motel room. And their designs look like some $1 movie theater except we didn’t pay $1. If the tickets were not in the machine, we would have left after the treatment we went through. Such a horrible experience. We will never go back to this place ever again.
I like this theater even though it is a classic. It is in a nice area, friendly staff, and I really love that there isn't a large crowd on Saturday 's. I frequent this particular theatre because of the 3 qualities I mentioned. I especially LOVE that I don't have to deal with a bunch of teenagers that can't behave here. Teenagers typically tend to visit the newer theaters and I'm thankful !!!
It does say classic so maybe I should have known. I thought these style theaters had gone away. Once you are used to modern theaters, these are tough to go to. No reserved seating, sticky floors and cramped seats, and you hope to God a tall person doesn't sit in front of you. Save your time and money, drive up the road to the mall AMC or to Avalon. This theater is awful.
Not the prettiest place. Just feels like it needs a modern renovation. Also, the people weren’t all that friendly. The general manager was there when I went and he didn’t seem all that happy to see me. In my opinion, if your dealing with any customer face to face, you need to put on a smile and make them feel welcome. There is another theater right next to this one that is nicer. I’d suggest going to it, at least until this one decided to renovate.
Place needs a good cleaning and new seats. There is a very foul odor in the theater we attended. Very few people on a Saturday afternoon. I don't expect this theater will be open long because there are too many other theaters within a few miles that are in execelent condition and don't stink. We will not be going back.
Very old. AMC must be considering tearing this down, as they have let it fall into total disrepair. The restrooms and some of the common areas are a disaster. We saw a film here because it was one of the only places it was showing. It was not busy, but even the concessions worker was confused by a couple of very simple requests. They lack some of the basic amenities that you expect at an AMC. Positives: Not very busy Digital projection Film selection Negatives: Old and run down Dirty bathrooms and common areas Old theaters with old style seating Lacking many concessions and amenities Layout is bizarre. e.g 6 restrooms across the front center of theater, express exit hallway by front exit AMC will need to do a total remodel in order to install high-quality theaters with stadium seating and overhaul restrooms common areas, concessions and overall layout for this theater to compete with any of the others in area.
This theater has more appealing movies than the AMC Northpoint across the street but it's a shame it feels so forgotten. Old and rundown, this place barely looks open. I wish they'd revamp and revive this as the art house theater, something the area is desperately lacking. I'm uses to going to smaller and older theaters so this doesn't really bother me but I can see people disliking the broken aesthetic, the old busted up seats, it feels like the highway motel of movie theaters.
I don't often rate things unless I have an exceptionally good or exceptionally bad experience. Tonight was stressful for many reasons, it was just one of those days...but none of the stress came from the theater. I showed up late, they let me switch my tickets for a later show. I came back later having lost one ticket, they let me and my girlfriend in anyway. Got great seats, enjoyed the movie, and was very glad for great and reasonable customer service.
This will be our first and last time coming to this theater. This movie theatre had very nice employees but it was filthy. The women’s restroom was absolutely filthy with pee on 2/3 of the toilets and the stalls on one entire side had dirty sloppy water on the floor and a wet floor sign - but no attempt at mopping. All of the sinks, including the handicapped one, had hair and fuzz in it. My husband went into the men’s restroom and there was pee hair all around the toilet as well. These restrooms were more filthy than one day’s worth of mess.
