Although the place could use a little refreshing, we had an overall good experience there. Sound and screen were very satisfactory and the place was pretty clean. I do want to mention that we were there for the second showing so I can't guarantee what it's like in the evening. Also, we didn't use the theater bathrooms as reviews were quite scary. So I cannot attest of their condition either.
The screens are a joke. Sound so muffled can’t hear a thing. Four rows of seats and I can still barely see. Picture takes up 3/4ths of an almost miniature screen. Full picture is about the size of four flatscreens.
This might not be the flashiest cinema but the location is very convenient. It is also slightly cheaper than other AMC’s nearby. The recliner seats are individual - not two-people seating. We like that is not a massive mall and the theater is directly attached to it, so we can let the kids watch the movies sometimes while we do something else at the mall.
5 stars for comfort, convenience, and staff, especially Norman. Norman goes above and beyond to make every patron feel VIP. He is kind, professional, and thorough. 1 star, however, for theater cleanliness. There was salt, butter, and soda on the concession counters. There was fecal matter and urine on toilet seats with toilet tissue and paper towels on the bathroom floors. And, our theater had garbage on the seats and floor. If cleanliness improves, this would be a 5 star experience.
Worst movie theater I've ever been too. Went there this weekend and 2 out of 4 seats were broken and wouldn't recline. We traveled a long distance so we made this best of it. Afterwards I went to staff member Jezeal and she said ther was nothing they could do because I already watched the movie. I asked to speak to a manager and she got James. He said I should have came abefore it started so they could check the seats, and move us. I showed him on my phone that I had checked and there were no other 4 seats available except the front neck breakers seats. He said there is nothing they can do. No refund, no courtesy passes and most of all no apologies. I guess I have the wrong complexion. Going to write corporate and they won't be seeing my money again.
Cleanliness is extremely lacking - from the bathrooms to the theater seats, everything smells like urine. The seats and floors were sticky. We went in August and we’re sweating through the movie because the AC was not on, or hardly on. My daughter got stuck with a seat that did not even recline broken. We didn’t finish the movie and had to walk out because of how uncomfortable we were. Screens were also a disappointment, picture quality was bad.
The theater seems a bit old. The seats were very comfortable, the temperature was comfortable and the picture/sound was clear. They had popcorn and drinks from the cool dispenser but the drinks didn't taste that good. They needed more syrup. They didn't really have a big selection of snacks otherwise. Also, when the movie ended the mail was closed so we had to walk all the way around to get back to our car. It was a chilly rainy night so it kind put a damper on our mood. Next time I'm going to go to a newer theatre closer to home.
The staff tonight 7/9/23 made me not want to come to AMC ever again. There’s 3 girls that were so disrespectful. Their customer service was horrible. We tried to order food & the girl wearing glasses gave us attitude & said “ AGAIN? “ This place needs a better staff. Not only that but we tried to get refill on drinks that WE paid for & they refused. I love AMC but the staff tonight was so utterly disgusting.
Went to AMC theater in East Brunswick not too happy with that movie theater. The seats are all broken. The bathrooms are dirty, men’s and ladies my wife went into the ladies bathroom and there was flies around the toilet in the garbage real disgusting place specially, being in East Brunswick they should get better help and better cleaning. I give that place one star because the movie was good. Time to update that movie theater and keep it clean for customers specially the who work for the health department.Was 7/4/23
If i could give zero stars I would! Filthy over flowing garbage everywhere. Seats broken, JAMES the terrible unsympathetic manager Spent well over $180 to sit in a smelly dirty movie theatre with broken seat being a single mother trying to enjoy a relaxing moment with my children turned into me not being able to relax. I was offered a single voucher which I did not take because that was an insult. AMC East Brunswick do better because in today’s economy I will not spend my hard earned money. I should have been given a full refund for my tickets it’s truly disheartening that management thinks it’s appropriate to not provide me with the basic expectation of a fully functional row of seats that I paid for SHAME on you!
