This is the worst American Eagle I have ever been to. Normally I don’t do reviews like this but…WOW! Quite possible the rudest employees I have ever confronted, I literally left that store shocked. I want to add - it will probably help if you train you employees on the return process because when I asked one of your employees she acted like I had 10 heads. Took about 4 different people to give me an answer on when I would receive my refund. I literally felt like I was in the twilight zone!! Lastly, it might not hurt to put a smile on your face, not have so much attitude straight off the bat, and to actually help your customers. Won’t be back here anytime soon.
I ordered a few things online. When they arrived, I knew by looking at a couple of the items that I wasn’t a fan. I didn’t even try them on. The day after they arrived in the mail I went to the store to return them. The young girl at the register had an attitude from the start, and when we finished she looked at her coworkers and loudly yelled that she was disgusted by the “used items and she immediately had to wash her hands.” Her coworkers all looked at me and laughed. It was the most bizarre and disrespectful interaction because the items were brand new and had never been worn. I was so confused, so I hurried and left the store. The more I’ve thought about it the more hurt I’ve become because that was completely inappropriate and uncalled for. I would have understood if there was something wrong with them or they were dirty, but they were brand new and they had only arrived in the mail the day prior.
I had no idea American Eagle Outfitter did not carry men’s clothes. Sad! There are no men’s clothing stores here in Birkdale Village.
Stacy the manager is the best! 5 mins and she helped me find the perfect jeans. Everyone in the store is so friendly and great selection.
Arrived 8 minutes before they opened along with 5 other people. We could see 6+ employees including the manager just standing around chatting or walking around aimlessly. They looked over at us quite a few times. They refused to open until the exact stated time. I’ve worked in retail, and we always opened 10-15min early if a customer was waiting. Normally I wouldn’t mind waiting, but that particular morning I was on a tight schedule. I just needed to make a quick return. When I finally got inside, their computer system wasn’t working. What should have been a 10 minute errand turned into 30. The cashier was not friendly either. Probably won’t be buying anything from them ever again.
In response to a previous review from mr.Curtis- He forgot to mention he harassed the staff and continued to bang on windows and doors 10 minutes after closing to the point that the police were called. He then ran away when the cops got there and they chased after him. The girls at this location are incredibly sweet and helpful. And definitely do not get paid enough to have a grown man scream at them to the point they need to get escorted to their cars. Love the girls at this American Eagle and Aerie store!
The best American eagle and aerie ever! The staff is incredibly friendly and so helpful! I won’t go to any other location! This is the only location in the company that sells only WOMENS clothing which is amazing! Girl boss! keep up the hard work, y’all rock!!
The most unfriendly staff. We were there before closing. 5 minutes after closing picking out Mother’s Day gifts and we’re told we couldn’t try on what we had been shopping for since it was after closing. Literally 8:05. Need to hire better qualified and friendly staff because girl with short dark hair with blue in it isn’t it.
This is THE place to buy pants for me! I'm super picky, but I know in store or online that I can just grab a specific size and walk out, no dressing room woes. And at the Birkdale location they are so sweet and helpful that even if I have to go online and ship to store or home, I will usually still walk out with a few extra tops or accessories!
Came here with my girlfriend today and she felt extremely uncomfortable by the employees. No one greeted us or even acknowledged us when we walked in and looked around. Some employees were sitting on the floor and others were on their phones. We got a very unwelcoming vibe and left.
