Our goal is to improve the cardiovascular health of all Americans and reduce deaths from heart disease and stroke by 20% by the year 2020. We plan on achieving this goal through developing an environment that promotes ideal cardiovascular health; identifies, advises, and treats people with less than ideal cardiovascular health factors; and increases the optimal treatment of acute events to improve the qualtiy of life for heart disease and stroke patients.
