We just had our second experience here this morning, and both times we have had a fine experience. Granted, we have come both times for my childs ear infections, but today we waited maybe 2 minutes, the whole visit taking 45 minutes, we had a nurse who was straightforward but not mean or demeaning and then one that was so nice and engaged with my son, then Dr. Matt came in and also engaged with my son and looked at Pokemon while checking out his ears. As we were leaving, the receptionist/intake specialist gave my son a sticker. Last time we were here, the bill ended up being $50-something dollars, so I also haven't had the billing issues that some have mentioned in their reviews. Will update once I get this bill for today, but we haven't had any sort of bad experience here yet!
FYI: DO NOT use “Anderson Express Care” unless you want billed two copays!!! They now bill your insurance as “being see at their facility” and then ALSO the physician bills for an appointment. I ended up having two copays each for me and my son, making our bill double! I’ve used them several times in the past and never had this issue so to me it is new. Although they told me in their system it shows I’ve never been seen before. Just a little service announcement in case anyone else was unaware! I will not be using them any further.
Can I give them a zero?! Just now hung up the phone from calling. Wanted to know if they could do pre-op work for a work comp case. Was simply told a very resounding "NO" While I was saying "Thank you"...CLICK!! Been to them before and wasn't impressed. Even less so now!!
Almost didn’t come to this urgent care because of some of the reviews but I called ahead and there was no wait and the lady to answered was very nice, so we gave it a shot. My daughter was the patient and EVERYONE was so kind to her and gentle! Kelly was wonderful, the nurse sorry totally blanking on her name that checked on her EXCELLENT, and Ruth the Nurse Practitioner was quick and nice! We had a great experience and my kiddo left happy and with goodies in hand.
The RN on shift asked me if i have a living will or POA and before I could answer she’s like “Of course you don’t cause you don’t know what that is” amongst a few other nasty remarksI guess she thought I would not comprehend …. Just a little background on me I am a 26 year old nurse I would give absolutely 0 stars
Poor service. Woman at the front desk was friendly. However, both the nurses who took my vitals they needed 2 because I guess they were in that big of a hurry and the NP were condescending and rushed me. I understand I came in at 7 and they want to go home at 8 but their service was that of a teenager at McDonald’s trying to get me out of their lobby so they can mop. I also understand using your RN/NP license to only diagnose the sniffles is probably disheartening. However, don’t act inconvenienced when someone comes in for that exact reason. The disinterest in their job, lack of compassion and overall boredom with their chosen career path is palpable.
I went to Bethalto urgent care to be checked. I was having a cough, fatigue, headache, nausea, sweats. The doctor only checked my ears, listened to my chest and swabbed me for the flu. Never checked my lungs. The flu test came back negative but in her response she said, “well you look like you have the flu and it could have been a false negative” and sent me on my way. Since when has it been okay to diagnose someone based on how they look? And she still put on my papers that I was diagnosed with influenza.
My friend came up to be checked for a possible broken rib, and they wouldn't check her, only telling her that "it's too late" to do something. They only checked one ear for a sinus infection, claimed she didn't have one and stated it is her teeth. She is a stroke victim who has to be on Plavix and they demanded to know WHY she's on it. The nurse said there's only two reasons why she should be on it and that's stroke and heart attack, of which, she's had both. They were extremely rude to her, and not thorough. If they treat stroke victims like this, it breaks my heart.
If i could give zero stars i would. I was there for 4 hours today. which i understand there was a lot of people there.. but I was left in the room for an hour nobody came.. Some lady came in asked if i was someone else, then proceeded to say they lost my chart and thought I left.. One of the nurses made the comment i can’t deal with this because i got upset i had been there for 4 hours and I have Influenza A. Then i go to pick my medicine up from my pharmacy i told two different ladies my pharmacy i go too. I went to my pharmacy for them to not have it so i called Anderson and they proceed to tell me it’s at another pharmacy and they never told me it was, and ontop of it she hung up on me! I will never go back there i’ve never had such a terrible awful experience like that!
I would like to start by saying all of the nurses have been very kind— however, the nurse practitioner Megan E Springman was very rude to me. I went in for a tooth infection that is very clearly infected, and she told me it’s not infected, just impacted and that “she’ll give me the antibiotics but they won’t do anything.” She did not look at my mouth well, and if she had she would have been able to see how badly infected it is. She then proceeded to shame me for not seeing a dentist even though I was in need of URGENT CARE. to top it off, after she left my room I could hear her next door through the walls, and she told a male patient next door that “they could have closed the wound if he’d come sooner but it’s too late now and now he’ll have a huge scar there” and then she LAUGHED OUT LOUD!!! I couldn’t see that man’s face, but had she laughed at my pain and scarring, I wouldn’t have been nearly as nice as he was. I have never felt so invalidated my a medical professional before, so before you go here call ahead and make sure mEgAn won’t be treating you.
