My name is Ms Jimmi Ross, my mom passed away on September 21,2021. at Fish Memorial they called Unity Funeral Homr after we left the hospital around 2:30 am…. I called Unity about 2:40 to make sure the hospital was on point.. I don’t know who I spoke to when I called but I think it was Dawn. She was so kind, pleasant, sympathetic and professional on the phone at 2:40 in the morning. She told me that the hospital had already called and she has all my information. Please take my time get myself together and then give them a call to set up an appointment to come in. If there’s anything we need or any questions we have please feel free to give them a call.On our appointment Mrs Angela was the exact same way. Very concerned, sympathetic, a counselor, kind , patient just Awesome! Unity Funeral Home you all are so Amazing! I loved everything! Very professional! Please keep up the Great work! I love y’all!

Unity Funeral Home actually deserves 0 star rating. It was the most unprofessional horrific experience I've ever dealt with. Angela Johnson and her staff set up arrangements for my father's funeral with someone not related to him only because the person was 1 of the beneficiaries on his insurance policies. Even after speaking with the family and being told to finalize everything with the daughter. Angela Johnson also defamed another funeral home stating they didn't do services that were charged for I have a letter from previous funeral home stating the contrary and Angela Johnson tried to obtain the previous funeral homes contract illegally. Angela Johnson never spoke to the family about the remaining costs that were not covered by the insurance $1400, even when the son came in to sign off on insurance policy, there was no conversation about payment or arrangements. She never had the family sign a contract and then held the funeral up under duress stating if all monies were not paid at that moment there would be no funeral. This is including $1600 transfer fee from the other funeral home which Angela Johnson agreed to recieve after death certificate was received to get monies out of my fathers account. Due to the unprofessionalism of Angela Johnson and Unity funeral home and due to the ignorance of the person whom Angela set up my fathers funeral arrangements with. NO FUNERAL TOOK PLACE. My aunt covered the $3000 under duress because my grandmother had grown tired of sitting and waiting for Angela Johnson to show up from another funeral and we were waiting for over an hour because no one knew how to do a credit card charge no1 brought money to a funeralbut the payment was stopped for services not rendered. Angela Johnson took the word of this person that my aunt would cover the costs never having spoke with my aunt to verify that and knowing the reputation of that person who is known in Deland as a liar and thief and also scheduled a viewing without family permission. Angela Johnson has been calling texting and harassing me since she found out the payment was stopped. She should be communicating with the person whom she set the funeral up without permission. Angela Johnson never once apologized for the fiasco. There was no dignity or respect for my father or his 88 yo mother whom Angela Johnson dragged my fathers casket from . I have reported Angela and Unity Funeral Home to the board of funeral directors as we've been told alot of things Angela Johnson did were illegal. I hope no other family ever has to go through this. I wouldn't let Angela Johnson or Unity bury my worst enemy. No family deserves the lack of empathy and disrespect that Angela Johnson and Unity Funeral home displayed. The money was never an issue only Angela Johnson and Unity Funeral Home shady disrespectful illegal business practices.

Excellent service thanks to Unity Funeral Home INC , Deland Fl. Wow my mother was put away sooooo beautifully , dressed to the nine. Thanks to channel 6 news and fbf for airing mom riding through town on a and carriage to her resting place. Highly recommend!! Thanks a million pastor Johnson and the entire Unity Family.

The funeral company called us the day before to tell us the insurance wasn’t covered, Awful service paid for a viewing only received about 30 minutes of viewing the body, burial site was atrocious we had to walk on other people’s grave the chairs uneven on top of graves all in all it was supposed to be from 11 am to 4 pm the whole service was over. They even postponed the service to talk about the money issue awful way to conduct business!

Thank you for helping us at a very difficult time. You and your staff were so thoughtful and understanding. You answered every question, and were always available and compassionate. You are a true blessing in a time of need. Thank you for everything. Cassie was my sister and you listened and gave her a beautiful home going service. God bless you.

Terrible church service ever. Do too much. Fake breakthroughs. U can say hi and everyone starts crying and on the floor. Dont come here. And the paster aka providest is on drugs. Littirally. How she acts.
