We held my father in law’s celebration of life ceremony here and they did an amazing job. Skip and Josh were so kind, patient and helpful. They made a difficult time as easy as possible and used kid gloves with my mother in law.
Skip was very professional on helping us going through hard times. Very gracious person I thank him for all his help. It wouldnt be possible without his apprentice Josh for helping us go through the process to find out what was happening with our loved ones.
Attended a funeral at Lohmans yesterday. Flowers I had ordered from FTD never showed up. Herbert Daily and Nina Guiglotto of Lohmans did not hesitate to jump right in and help. Herbert Daily went to the local florist and had the roses I had ordered back in time for the service. I highly recommend this funeral home. Everyone was kind and caring and understood my situation and managed to step in and make things right.
I want to thank Skip Dailey at Lohman Funeral Home in Ormond for all the incredible assistance he gave my family. I have lived in this community my entire life and buried many family members at Lohman’s. Skip Dailey is one of the most empathetic, kind and genuine Funeral Home employees that Lohman’s has hired. The funeral home and lawn is beautiful and staff is very friendly. A special thanks to Jani Hamilton for making us feel like family when she greeted us at the door. L. Wilburn
On Sunday, January 8 I attended a celebration of life at Lohman's funeral home - Ormond. I want to say it was such a pleasure to be in such a peaceful place and yet a happy place at this time, because it was run so peaceful my a young man, who seem to really have his full understanding and careful soul into it. His name is Skip Dailey. The celebration of life was run like clockwork, and yet you never hardly saw them as everything was run so smoothly and again so quietly, and yet you heard people smiling and laughing, and having a wonderful time he had a wonderful speaker ,he had wonderful music and he had delicious food served, and while my sister-in-law was so fearful of being there, as it was her son, who had passed away and dreading it, she had a delightful time, and could not have been happier with the way the service was run. This was all due to Skip Dailey because he found out that Elvis was her favorite singer, and he had the pianist play some of Elvis’s song, and put her at total peace ,where does someone get the insight like this young man Skip Dailey processes ,he is an outstanding individual, knows his job inside and out, and has everyone smiling and working for him so comfortably ,the place was very clean ,very welcoming, and I hope that my family will use this facility, and this young man when it becomes my turn to have a celebration of life .I wouldn’t hesitate to use him and Lohman’s now , that I see what he has done with it, where I was not going to before. Sincerely Sandra M. Ferguson
I traveled from Tallahassee to have some time with my deceased brother and family before his cremation. I was horrified to find that instead of the Lohman Funeral Home, he had been laid on a gurney in a 8x10 cinder block room at the pet cemetery to be cremated with the beloved dogs and cats. The representative from the funeral home was as kind and respectful as she could be, but it is not right, and this is a horrible memory to take with me as the last image of my brother on earth. The persons responsible for this do not deserve to be employed, and the business that employed them should be ashamed. Edit: Shortly after this review, the caring representative who was with us the only charitable thing I have to say is that she spoke to us with compassion, integrity, and honesty called and apologized for the business. She said that Lohman's wanted to refund my family the money we had paid. I replied that I would add this fact to my review, but that it in no way made up for my family's experience, and I would not retract my review. I also stated and believe that a botched and disgraceful performance is never the fault of just one person.
Thank you Mr. Brewer and the Lohman Funeral Home Ormand staff. Your professionalism along with your personal touch made the difference as our family struggled with a great loss! Our belief is “absent from the body, present with the Lord”, but your genuine care and concern, blessed our grieving hearts. You helped us send our loved one “home” with dignity and grace! We will wholeheartedly recommend Ralph Brewer and Lohman Funeral Home to others in need of worry free, comforting, professional, care for their loved ones and themselves! Thanks again for your sincere holistic approach to our need…it made the difference!
Very professional and made a difficult time easy with their kindness. The funeral home is beautiful. It was a wonderful place to say farewell to my father. I highly recommend this funeral home.
Absolute best service anyone could ask for, given the circumstances!! We had no idea what to expect walking in and slowly through our first visit of planning things out immediately felt the weight come off our shoulders. We had the pleasure of Ralph B. Lohman’s- Ormond Beach being our right-hand-man for our intense journey and he was amazing! There for anything we needed, never made us feel rushed, and just plain and simple…got things done! I would recommend him a thousand times over!! Odd thing was we didn’t have to wait long, second family member passed within the month and we sent them straight to him and once again, he was amazing! Him and the whole team.
Last week I attended the funeral services for my friend Erika Dane. I keep thinking about everything that I witnessed at the funeral home and cemetery. There was a Lohman employee named Candace who was absolutely AMAZING and stands out in my mind. From the moment Candace welcomed us in, she put us at ease with her soothing, warm nature. There is no doubt that she takes her job seriously and was making sure everything was absolutely PERFECT on both days. Candace’s incredible work ethic shows and it was impressive to watch her in action. She moved very quickly and you could tell that she was in complete control of an extremely sad situation where people were in SHOCK and grieving. She was EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL & personable at the same time. I’d like to thank Candace for the excellent service she provided on such a somber, heartbreaking day. Believe me, people noticed and were praising her name.
