Ankeny Miracle Park is the All-Inclusive Playground & Miracle League Field of Ankeny created by City of Ankeny, Ankeny Kiwanis, and community members.
Ankeny Miracle Park is located in Hawkeye Park next to Terrace Elementary School and provides non-competitive co-ed Miracle League baseball leagues for children and adults with special needs, volunteer Buddies to assist and protect players during play, an obstacle-free accessible ball field surface, and an over 14,000 square foot sized all-inclusive playground that includes accessible equipment, equipment often found at other playgrounds, and equipment that encourages children of all abilities to play together.
Because every child deserves to play!
$1.7 million was raised to construct the Miracle League field, the concession/restroom building with accessible restrooms, and the all-inclusive playground! Over 600 donations from generous individuals, groups, and corporations made it possible to create Ankeny Miracle Park -- special thanks go to our Title Sponsors ($200,000+) Karl Chevrolet and John Deere Des Moines Works, both of Ankeny, and to Ankeny HyVee/HyVee Drugstore ($50,000), the project's first corporate sponsor!

Ongoing fundraising for 'wish list' items to improve the facility will continue via the annual Night for Miracles fundraising gala hosted by the Ankeny Kiwanis Club.
