I had an extremely pleasant experience! I'm not sure why some of the reviews are so negative, but the reviewers seem to be over-reacting... The tailor who helped me was very attentive and ready to offer suggestions as well as follow my lead. As I pointed out the kinds of fabric I liked as well as rejected some fabrics that were suggested, the gentleman helping me adapted immediately to my preferences and took his cues from my stated goals, all the while offering helpful and creative suggestions that he perceived would assist me in accomplishing my task. I walked in with a small porcelain wedding gift that I wanted to wrap in a complementary fabric and bow. After searching through the numerous bolts of fabric and materials, the tailor helped me arrive at a very simple, inexpensive and satisfying result. I'm so glad I ignored the negative review and gave this neighborhood store my business!
I noticed the rolls of fabric and u-turned to check out the shop. There is a hideously annoying doorbell when you walk in. Then a troll appears from the back of the store and barks, "Can I help you?" which you swear translates to:"Purchase something right now, or get tf out of my store." Then, Heaven forbid your cellphone has a mind of its own and activates the camera all the time to take pictures of your shoes, the ceiling, and blurry things only itself understands, the troll will yell at you, "You can't take pictures in here." Err. The shop is not photo worthy. I've seen many a more worthy fabric and notions shop, trust me. The troll turned me off majorly. I just walked out, and have no intention of ever going back to this yucky store, nor would I recommend it.
Very terrible customer service. The owner of the store made rude remarks about our cultural/ethnicity background and proceeded to call us "cheap" for not buying the more pricey alternative. Do not recommend.
