I have been fortunate enough to grow up here in Destin, Florida and enjoy a lifestyle on the water. I started surfing at age 10 in Crystal Beach. A few years later my Parents moved us to Holiday Isle in Destin where my passion grew with my brother and fellow Island surf rats. By the time I was in Fort Walton Beach High School I quit working on my fathers charter boat to lifeguard my summers away on a surfboard. It felt so right that I moved away to New Smyrna Beach on the East Coast for a year to feed my soul even more. Soon I started traveling to get my fix, thanks to a great man named Tom Curry. He told me the greatest education I would ever get would come from traveling the World in search of waves. He was right. With stops in Costa Rica, Panama, Nicaragua, Puerto Rico and El Salvador and snowboard trips to Snowmass and Breckinridge, I consider myself blessed for the great experiences. I started pushing my daughter into waves at 18 months old. She is now 12 and you can see her in a few of the pics. To me surfing is more than a sport. It's a life changing lifestyle that embraces the love of our Oceans. I hope I can share it with you...
After years of enjoyment being in the great outdoors of Mother Nature, I have decided that now is the time for me to spread the joy of catching a wave. Stoke as us surfers call it, Is that incredible rush of a feeling we get when the adrenaline starts pumping and endorphins are surging and you just want to scream! Surfing gives us that feeling and I want to share it with you.
