Amazing place to take the family, friends kids, grandparents etc. They do offer active/retired military member discounts here. Very friendly and helpful staff. We loved hearing about the history of engines and airplanes. Will definitely go back again. There is a lot to see, take your time and be sure to check it all out. If you need help just be sure to ask someone. They will be happy to assist.
A must see for anyone interested in aviation or military history visiting the Phoenix area. The aircraft on exhibit range from WW1 biplanes to Vietnam era jets and WW2 era flightworthy warbirds including tours inside some of the aircraft. They also have an interesting collection of memorablia including artifacts from the Flying Tigers and a painting signed by Franz Stigler depicting his sparing of the crew of a damaged B-17. Plan to spend at least 3+ hours to take in all the exhibits, read the displays and talk to the volunteers who are all extremely friendly and knowledgeable.
Amazing museum, must see for any military aviation buff. Very friendly and knowledgeable docents. Plan on spending 3-4 hours to fully take in everything. Got to see the inside of the B-17 Sentimental Journey.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNoPrice for adult entry$11–15
This is a great little museum, with lots of historical info and a variety of items to view. The day we went, they were also having a helicopter show, so we were able to climb inside and talk to actual pilots. The friendly museum staff we talked to not only made sure we knew where to go and what to see, but they also had great stories to tell from their own experiences serving in the military. As part of the experience, we were allowed us to go into the hangar where they have a group working on fixing up an airplane. Definitely worth going to, especially if you are an aviation, military, or history buff! Price for entry: $15 Ticket type: 1 day pass
Had a great time. Lots of very knowledgeable volunteers who work tirelessly to make this a great experience. Wouldn't hesitate to come back again. You could visit a dozen times and not be able to take in all the information on display. Thank you all for a great day.
Great place to go see some planes and hear stories from veterans. Super fun!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo wait
A worth visiting place. The route was beautiful. It isn't mentioned when you buy a ticket online that every second Saturday is a family day so all members of a family get to see the place in $10 but now you know Spend some time there. Take it all in and live through it. Luckily the weather was great today. The staff is lovely and very welcoming. One also gets to cross the inside of this giant B-17 which is AMAZING.
Mr. Moore was our guide through the museum. His father had flown in WWII, and there were pictures of him during the war.Visited onWeekdayWait timeUp to 10 minReservation recommendedNot surePrice for adult entry$11–15

Volunteer Larry who met us at the door gets credit for this review. We visited the museum on a Saturday morning. We were pleasantly surprised to find out that there was a family rate. This is a special price that occurs once per month. The museum will be of great interest regardless of age. It not only contains a great deal of mechanical display but an equal amount of History. The volunteers do a wonderful job of keeping the museum in perfect condition and answering any questions that you may have. We were pleasantly surprised to find that you can schedule a ride on an antique plane during the winter months. We were equally pleased that the museum was air conditioned during the summer months and had benches where you can sit down while the children gaze in awe. Thank you to Larry and the other volunteers that make this possible.
