Nice little museum. The service men are very helpful and knowledgeable. My girls went on the cockpit tour. I was able to enjoy the tour but not the cockpits. Probably best because they are pretty small. Lots to look at and you see able to get a close up look at the engines and cockpits. You can also see the maintenance bay where they are working on some planes.
A worth visiting place. The route was beautiful. It isn't mentioned when you buy a ticket online that every second Saturday is a family day so all members of a family get to see the place in $10 but now you know Spend some time there. Take it all in and live through it. Luckily the weather was great today. The staff is lovely and very welcoming. One also gets to cross the inside of this giant B-17 which is AMAZING.
Folks here are really friendly and knowledgeable about the history of the planes on display, every time I visit I learn something new. Worth a flight, or drive, from SW Washington state!! I enjoy my visits here every time! The last two visits I made, either the B17 was on display or was out on the tarmac for takeoff. Being a WWII aircraft junky, I couldn’t pass up an opportunity to see this lady fly again. With a bonus B25 ready to take flight as well, a great community of airmen and fans to share experiences with. Grateful for the folks that run this place, worth every penny!
This is the second summer in a row that I've come here, as I live in France and visit AZ during summer vacation. I was treated like family by the whole crew. Each member was open to give information, friendly, and great to talk with. From the gentleman at the front desk to the guides and the mechanics, they're all such interesting and kind characters. I'll definitely be returning next summer. If you're looking to learn some history and see some legendary planes all while having a good time, this is the place for you :
Had a great time. Lots of very knowledgeable volunteers who work tirelessly to make this a great experience. Wouldn't hesitate to come back again. You could visit a dozen times and not be able to take in all the information on display. Thank you all for a great day.
This isn’t your average airplane museum, a lot of these planes are still flown today. You can even arrange a ride in the B17G Flying Fortress! The staff were all veterans and were very helpful. Aircraft from WWII up to the Gulf war. If you love military aircraft, this is a must see.

Tour guides are very knowledgeable and they encourage photography. We got to walk on an actual plane that was in World War II. I had a lot of fun. There’s a park not too far down the street that you can go to and have a nice picnic with the kiddos or just with friends.
Very cool to see WW II aircraft that I, or my brother, had built models of as kids. Seeing inside the cockpits and seeing the details of the engines were added bonus. I really felt for the tail-gunner/radioman having to work the tiny warren radioroom/ventral gun below the tail turrent in the TBF Avenger. And we were lucky to see a B-17 fly in and be parked in the hanger as we watched ten feet away. The incredibly well-done plastic models in the display cases were also neat to see. The volunteers were eager to answer questions. I only wish the souvenir shop had less gaudy, cooler t-shirts. Because of the limited hours of the museum and our own week's schedule, this was our first stop immediately after arriving at Sky Harbor Airport. It was well worth the hustle.
Staff very cool, very informative and knowledgeable, I really enjoyed talking to retired service members about thier experiences they really take the time to answer your ?s and you can hear the passion in there voice for what they do and have done THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE.....this place is awesome its a trip back in time with a tour guide or if you want to take your time and take it all in at your pace you can do that also a chance to go inside a war world 2 bomber was really cool I highly recommend..
