Description

The Art Gallery of Sudbury was established in 1967 as a Centennial project of the Sudbury and District Chamber of Commerce. Originally operating as the Laurentian University Museum and Art Centre, the gallery was incorporated in 1997. Housed in a turn of the century mansion, the former residence of lumber baron William Joseph Bell, the gallery has a unique architectural appeal. Local history and contemporary works of art come together in the lush surroundings of the Gallery grounds. Our exciting exhibitions, lecture series, art classes and special events make the gallery a gathering place for the local community. The Art Gallery is open to the public year round.

On Tuesday, October 26, the Art Gallery of Sudbury announced plans to build the first ever purpose-built art gallery in the Greater Sudbury Area.

Very engaging current exhibit. Beautiful historic building. Friendly staff. Gift shop has many beautiful items for purchase.
I wonderful piece of unique Sudbury architecture, yet has been allowed to get run down over the years. Hopefully the old bones can be preserved and improved to give it many more years, even if the Art Gallery eventually finds a new home.
Fun little gallery, worth a stop if you're in town.
Child's birthday, it was good for 5 year olds but they messed up his name lol Lil bit amateur
Great place for art shows, saw a great one this evening.
Although we didn't go inside, it was a great place to take pictures for our daughters wedding.
This is a well curated little art gallery with local and regional artists, nice gift shop with a variety of offerings. They offer classes for kids and adults, and the staff are very helpful and informative. The building was an old farmhouse rebuilt after a fire and is rumored to be haunted, it's pretty cool.
Hosted a birthday party at the Art Gallery. The art workshop was great. The kids loved it.
Went in for a Franklin Carmichael exhibit, building was beautiful, exhibit was laid out perfectly, staff was super friendly and knowledgeable and were willing to provide information and somewhat of a tour. Cannot wait to see another exhibit there!
A very unique and interesting opportunity to view and be informed about a lesser known Group of Seven artist. Our tour appointment was extremely well presented. Monique & John
