As Nevada's premier Italian Cultural Arts Center, arte italia is dedicated to preserving the traditions and heritage of old Italy through a myriad of educational opportunities. arte italia's unique programming, including exhibitions of classic Italian art and culinary classes taught by distinguished chefs from Italy, touches thousands of visitors each year. All art exhibitions are free and open to the public during the specified hours of operation (hours vary by exhibit).
INFORMATION SPECIFIC TO CULINARY CLASSES:
Regional chefs from Italy will visit arte italia throughout the year, focusing on traditional recipes with innovative techniques. The class schedule for each day will include a mix of traditional and contemporary cuisine from the chef's region. For each culinary class, the visiting chef will prepare an authentic Italian dinner including antipasto, primo piatto, secondo piatto and dolce.
The menus change for each class. The chefs generally include fish, poultry, meats, dairy products, garlic, herbs and olive oil in their recipes.
HOW DO I REGISTER?
Become a member of the "Arte Italia Family" by joining our contact list. Simply enter your contact information at the bottom of the www.arteitaliausa.org web page to receive our e-update. Members receive online news regarding culinary classes and art exhibits. When class registration opens, members will receive and email containing the means to make a reservation.
RANDOMIZED SELECTION REGISTRATION
Regional interest in arte italia’s culinary program has been overwhelming! Our guests are thrilled to dine in the Cucina with visiting chefs but our seating capacity is very limited. Therefore, we strive to fairly allocate seating between new culinary guests and former guests that have participated in the past. We utilize a fair system of randomized selection to assign seating for each culinary class.
Tuition Fees for Selected Registrants: $60 per class ($55 for seniors 65+ and students). All proceeds are donated to charitable organizations.
