Arthur Michael Lauretano, MD, FACS, MS, is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an extensively educated, board certified otolaryngologist. He is completed the six-year medical program of Boston University’s School of Medicine, which he graduated Summa Cum Laude in 1988 and ultimately obtained both a medical degree and a bachelor’s degree of arts in medical sciences. While studying, Dr. Lauretano received induction into the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and was offered the Dean Eleanor Tyler Award as a Top Six-Year Medical Student, the Internal Medicine Award, and the Dora Savenor Memorial Prize for Excellence in Surgery. More awards followed as Dr. Lauretano went on to serve his general surgical internship at Beth Israel Hospital in Boston that granted him the Critical Care Award. His next step on his training path was entering and completing his otolaryngology residency at the Harvard Medical School’s Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. By 1993, Dr. Lauretano was a full physician as well as member of numerous professional societies, such as the American Academy of Head and Neck Surgery, the Massachusetts Medical Society, the American Medical Association, and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He recently completed his Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration and Clinical Informatics at the University of Massachusetts Lowell and is a “proud computer and math geek.” Dr. Arthur Michael Lauretano is certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology in otolaryngology and feels that his success is the result of his perseverance, his having excellent teachers and his compassion for patients.
