We had a good visit, bought a sofa and a study table. Friendly staffs. Currently slow delivery but the good part is that they help assembled the table. We are satisfied with our purchases
By far the worst experience I've ever had. We purchased an entire living room set and bedroom set early June. At the time of purchase there were a couple items that weren't in stock but they said they'd have them in 3 weeks. They've now pushed back the delivery date for the bedroom set 6 times! At this point my 90 day trial period of the mattress is about to expire and I haven't even been able to use it yet. Every time they promise up and down that it will be here on the next date they give us. Then when it doesn't show, we call, and they just give us another date. At this point I'm reasonably certain they're just making up these dates and they're not based on any sort of actual logistics. They say that they do their own manufacturing and transportation. How do you not know when things will be made and shipped? Are you not allowed to pick up the phone and call someone in your own company? The living room table set was discontinued 2 months after we purchased it, but before they could even deliver it to us. Ashley says they manufacture their own products, but apparently their manufacturing department just randomly decides what to stop making and doesn't base it on any kind of open sales orders. At this point, 2 1/2 months after purchase, I've only received about 20% of my order and most of that is only because I was ok receiving the floor model.
We bought a dining room table on May 1st, and paid cash. Here it is July 16th and we still don't have the chairs and now when we call the 800 number they say they can't find the order and to call the store, which is currently closed. This has been the worst furniture buying experience we've ever had. The salesman sure made it seem like everything would certainly be there by X day. It's been extended 3x. If they don't tell us it will be here within 3 days of today I'll be going and demanding a refund. I don't see how they can deny it since they've been unable to fulfill their end of the deal.
Placed order on Aug 21, 2022 at Houston Texas 77064 branch. The sales person informed us that the product will be delivered within 2 weeks times and if not deliver then they will give discounts but even after 4 weeks no sign of delivery of the product and no discount received. If one wants to cancel the furniture one can't do it because the price of the product mentioned in the invoice and the customer care are different so one will lose amount of $200-400 + they will not give refund of delivery charge and taxes. If the salesperson told us upfront that delivery will take up to 16 weeks' time, then we would not buy furniture from them. If they have disclosed full fact then one can take informed decision which was not done by them.
Buyers Beware!!! Do not purchase their protection plan! It is always something with Ashley Furniture and the way that they handle business. It’s always shady!!! I have a Montage protection plan that I bought for $500 in 2016. It states on the certificate that “if you never have to report a claim with Montage within 5 years from the date of delivery, Ashley Furniture HomeStore will issue a store credit in the amount you paid for the program before taxes.” There isn’t a date of maturity or any time limit indicated anywhere!!!! We went to the Ashley Store to get our $500 so that we could purchase other home items for our new home and we were told that it would not be honored because there’s an expiration date. What expiration date??!!!! I have a “Worry Free - Certificate” with no expiration date on it. Nothing else was given with an expiration date on it!! They offered to submit the request through, but we were told that LOTS OF OTHER CUSTOMERS HAVE COME TO RECEIVE THEIR REFUND ON THIS PROTECTION PLAN, BUT 99.9% ARE DENIED THE REFUNDS!!! THIS IS AN ABSOLUTE SCAM!!! I have tried to give Ashley Furniture chance after chance, but I always have to fight to make a business transaction right. I will NEVER shop here again and I will make sure to put this review everywhere that I possibly can because this is totally unethical.
I will never buy anything from this store again. I am very disappointed with their service, I paid $5000 for my bed frame and electric sofa a month ago, and it arrived today. One part of the electric sofa was not working. The delivery staff was very eager to call the customer service before I try the sofa and let me confirm that my order was completed and that there was no problem with the item. The sofa and bed were not even set up at the time. They left in a hurry, and then I found a part of my loveseat couldn't move, so I started to call customer service, waited a long time before someone answered the phone, I repeated my name, phone number, and order number twice and the problem I'm having. The customer service was probably watching TV because I heard TV sound and asked me if something was not delivered. I'm really wondering if Ashley's customer service doesn't listen to what the customer is saying at all. I have clearly said that a part of my sofa not work . Then I tried to ask for the person's name and the person interrupted me very rudely and hung up the phone. I tried to keep calling, but I couldn't get through to customer service again. This is the worst furniture buying experience I've ever had. I will never visit this store again.
We ordered a living room set on September first week from Ashley. We were told that we will receive it atleast by November 1st week. It's a brand new house and we planned for a party and invited all our friends from different states. The staff gave us a confirmation on our first visit. We were confused as when I called the customer service they told I will get the furniture only by November end or December. As soon as I heard this, I drove 2hours from my place on a Saturday of October first second week to the store to confirm and the staff " Mr Afsal" gave us fake promises that he will make sure that we get the furniture by November 1st week. We trusted Ashley on this and got back home. Total of a 4 hours drive. After reaching home I again called a Ashely customer care to know what's the update on the website and they repeated the same thing "November end or December ". I tried calling several times and the staff hung up on me. RIDICULOUS. I drove 2 hours again to the store on Sunday and they made us wait for 30 - 40 mints and this man tried giving us fake promise AGAIN. My party was supposed to be on November 7 and all my friends had booked their tickets. I for sure wouldn't want my main living room empty without a couch. I CANCELED MY ORDER THAT DAY AND called Ashley to complain against this ISSUE and they haven't responded back. If ever I had known it would take so long I would have ordered from STAR FURNITURE as they offered to give me within the assured time. This is not acceptable. We trusted Ashley . We no more trust Ashley and won't recommend trusting any staff specially the one I mentioned above. Horrible experience. I wish someone responses to this issue.
Loved the customer service that was provided by Kevin. He was super nice and such a delight to work with. He understood my requirements right away and suggested the best bed-frame at a great price!
Ashley Furniture provides poor customer service and lacks honesty when providing promised furniture delivery dates. I was promised to receive my order within 2-16 weeks of purchase by Ashley's sales team, which is also documented on the order form. Since I have placed the order I have never received follow-up calls/texts/emails in regards to the status of my order as I was promised to receive according to the order form. Instead I have had to take the initiative multiple times from my end to contact customer service to determine the status. Each time I have contacted I have been given various new estimated time frames for my furniture. My initial expected delivery was March 2022, then changed to April 2022, then May 2022, then I was told September 2022, and my most recent inquiry I am being told it may be October 2022 or consider reordering. At this point I am running at almost a year wait time for delivery. As a new home buyer I have worked with multiple retail furniture stores to furnish my home. Each furniture store has taken the time to acknowledge us as valued customers and followed-up from their end on the status of our purchases EXCEPT FOR ASHLEY FURNITURE. All other furniture store even with the COVID delays and other hurdles has ensured to deliver the promised furniture EXCEPT FOR ASHLEY FURNITURE. As a loyal customer I have been extremely patient and understanding of the supply chain issues, but all I have received is disappointment and lies from Ashley Furniture. At this point I would recommend any other store other then Ashely Furniture.
In June of 2022 we purchased 11 items of furniture, Tempur-Pedic mattress bed bases. We were told by the sales associate that the furniture would not be ready to deliver until mid-September which was fine as we were closing on the house in September and if the furniture by chance would come in earlier, all we needed to do was tell the caller to hold the furniture and they would. Then when we were ready, call the customer service number to have the held furniture delivered. Unfortunately, what we were told and what happened were two different things leading me to conclude Ashley Furniture is not a reputable company. In early August we got a call that the furniture was available for delivery. I did as the sales associate recommended. I said we were not ready to accept delivery and scheduled the delivery for September 15th as we were closing on the house on September 13th. Turned out, none of this was true and my furniture didn’t get delivered on the 16th. On the 20th the bedroom set was finally delivered. Ashley tried to get me to accept partial delivery of the remaining furniture. Imagine my surprise to find that two of the sectional pieces were discontinued so if I accepted delivery on the two available pieces, I would never have a whole sectional. Lastly, I spent five hours today trying to resolve a billing error of over $1,000.00. It took talking to at least 7 different people at Ashley at least one lie told, using three different phone numbers, one person at the protection plan company, and another associate at the finance company. Based upon my experience with Ashley’s, I will never do business with that company again and I recommend no one do business with them as it’s not worth the headache. If you work, you don’t have time to deal with this nonsense.
