Awful experience purchasing an as-is dining table from this store. Our first scheduled delivery was last weekend. When they arrived they could not find the table legs and said they don't know if they were left in the store or at their warehouse. I refused the delivery and they called us on Monday saying they've located the legs and will deliver again this weekend today. Well they just came and the legs had chips all over them that definitely weren't there before we took photos at the store to prove this. Once again I'm told to refuse the delivery and they will "assess" at the warehouse how to proceed. So 2 failed delivery attempts, 2 ruined weekends and not once was I able to speak to someone who could make any executive decisions nor offer me any relief. Even now I don't know if and when we'll get the table in a satisfactory condition. Will not be shopping at Ashely's again. Update: called the customer service number on Monday and the best that they could do was "make notes" to make sure my package comes with all parts and in good condition. I explicitly asked to raise my concerns and feedback to a manager and I was basically told that my issue didn't qualify for any escalation. So much for making your customers feel appreciated.
Ordered this couch and it was delivered with damage. The delivery guys reported it to the store. We reported it to the store. After several days we found that the sales guy texted a number for us to call. I went to the store to ask what was happening to hear that “they are a big company and the store has no responsibility if damaged goods are delivered to a customer”. I asked the sales guy to call the number. After several minutes, he was given a different number to call. Eventually I called the robot line to try to report the damage. Still, the store takes no responsibility for anything after the sale. I believe that they recycle damaged/refurbished goods and sell them as new. If we had been home we would have never accepted this. Our teenager said that the delivery guys “reported the damaged goods”. After several frustrating days of inaction we are waiting for someone to assess our claim. They say they will try to repair the damage. It blows my mind that they do business like this. Sept 1st update. Still no response. I’m thinking soon they should send us a new set of instructions on what to do with the damaged furniture they delivered. Please note the automated response to all poor reviews.. “We hate to see a review like this…” Scroll down. You will see it many times. Sept 6th update. Still no reaction/contact from the company in any manner. Just the automated response that they use here to try to imply that they are trying to resolve these issues.
My husband and I were looking to furnish our new home and Heba was so helpful in this process! She was knowledgeable, friendly and so patient as we searched the entire store to find exactly what we were looking for. We left feeling so happy with the service we received! We can’t wait to receive our new couch, dining table and adjustable bed frame! I would highly recommend Ashely’s Burlington : Balwant’s delivery team was also amazing! So thorough, friendly, efficient and considerate. One of the best experiences so far! Ashley’s has really outdone themselves - both sales and delivery team were 10/10!
RUN!!!!…. run, run , run from Ashley Furniture. Do not buy from them. Once you walk out the door, they want nothing to do with you should issues arise from your purchase. They refer you to the Customer Care. READ THE CONTRACT. CAREFULLY. Of the 3 pieces of furniture we ordered,3 pieces have defects. Screws through the wood, broken parts, no instructions , damaged upholstery, misaligned chairs,etc. They send you replacement parts and then you have to arrange a technician to do the repairs… could be a while. Reported issues with the dining room server which came in a Queen size headboard box… but hey, the server was in there. No instructions…. except for the Queen size headboard instructions which I did not purchase. The sideboard had a broken piece just barely attached, the backing screw are through the paneling on the backside. There appears to be some type of sticky substance from end to end on the back as well. The wife and I want to send this back to the store now… nope, call Customer Care. Think you can get a refund?? Wrong. A technician will come to look at the issues and order replacement parts or replace the server if it’s bad. But if I want to except it as-is, customer care will knock 10% off for you. Really?? Another thing, if you don’t use the extra coverage for 5 years, and I purchased, you’ll get it back to purchase more Ashley Furniture…don’t forget that if you make a claim you lose that option and if you have my experience, you’ll be calling customer care faster than you can run downhill. Luckily, my friend was gonna head the the store for a purchase but once she saw our experience, she bailed and will look elsewhere. Our worst Furniture purchase ever. I know they’ll probably leave a response below but I don’t see how they can right this wrong. I’ve had Ashley Furniture for many years but the quality of workmanship in my latest purchase has changed my mind.
Emil was a wealth of information. He took the time to patiently listen to our preferences, then walked us around the showroom outlining the benefits of the products that would fit our needs. He was not pushy or arrogant. Very lovely and helpful.
We walked into the store pretty much knowing what we wanted and that they had it on sale after researching on-line. The salesman was professional and got the process/order done in a timely manor. We were notified about our upcoming delivery with the right amount of notifications. The deliver guys were on schedule. De-boxed, installed all the backyard furniture and removed all the packaging. Seamless. I wish all things went that smooth.
Table and service is great. however each chair has a price sticker, tried all the way to remove it but when sticker was off , the glue from stickerLeft on it and shows sticky rectangle shape. I can’t imagine how yuck when house dust all attached on it. What the point to put price stickers on each chair and table on the leg, why not under them? Don’t tell me sticker removing tricks , All tricks from YouTube to remove the stickers I already tied out, but not working, the glue already mixed with paint. I have to go buy the furniture paint to paint each chair over the left over glue print. I am just mad to give one star for this sticker thing.
Would rate our purchase an overall good experience. In store, the sales guy was pushy so we did not feel comfortable getting our couches with him. We ordered online which I believe is tied to this store location as well and chatted with the customer service on Ashley’s website for some special support we required for the purchase. Online support is decent and I was able to close our purchase quite smoothly. If visiting the store, I would recommend not feeling pressured to buy there and then; take your time to look and feel in store and if you need to, ordering online is a relatively smooth experience. Either way dont forget to ask for a discount since we asked and got a small one.
Honestly the worse company ever. Bought a lot of stuff from them. Needed our dresser fixed by them we only had it for less then a month and it broke on us.. we lived with draws on the ground from March until July. And instead of replacing the whole thing they said they would just fix the one side. And mind you it only broke cause their installer put it together wrong. I just think for what they charge you should have really good quality furniture. Definitely will not be coming back here
Finally bought a new couch and interacting with Heba the salesperson was the most enjoyable experience! When we're in need of anything else, we are definitely seeking her out specifically again. She was extremely knowledgeable about all products and super friendly and personable.
