Great airport. It is among the busiest airport in the world, but it is well designed so it doesn’t look too crowded. The staff at the airport, from the CBP immigration staff to the baggage handlers to the disability assistance staffs, are very friendly, professional, and courteous. They have one of the best airport staffs in the United States. The airport has a lot of restaurant options, located not centrally and distributed well to its many gates, so no matter which gates you are taking off from, you are just a short walk to a restaurant or any kind of food. They have many drinking fountain to fill your bottles. The toilet is quite clean. Excellent airport, a great gateway to the United States of America.
Wow what a great airport. The atmosphere is very chill. The play jazz music when your walking around. Subways here are nice. The security guards and staff here are kind and helpful. People here are just in a much better mood then compared to the other airports. They have artwork here for people to tour in. 5/5 great airport
This is by far my favorite airport ok I'm biased. Sometimes security can be backed up but what can you expect from the busiest airport in the world. In general I find this airport to be very efficient. Since it's Delta's main hub, you can get almost anywhere in the US nonstop. There are also tons of dining options while you wait. And don't forget to check out the art exhibits between concourses.
This airport is a beast to tackle. It’s so busy with thousands of people moving that it can feel overwhelming. The subways they have below that transfer you between terminals are quick and effective. The airport is pretty old overall and could use more renovation to bring it up to standard with most other domestic airports in the US.
Very crowded airport. We were just here for less than an hour for a layover but I thought it was a very nice airport. The bathrooms even had fancy mist air fresheners. They had plenty of places to grab something to eat but all the lines for even the littlest shops were long. This airport seemed cleaner than others.
Well what can say I say. I was raised in ATL and have seen this airport grow tremendously. Yes, it has its down sides. It is WAY TOO PACKED and the traffic getting there is horrible. But after traveling the world and also being familiar with all of the terminals, I feel like it is easy to get around. Not many know that you do not have to wait and get squished on a bus. There is a walking option with those moving sidewalks and a little history to look at along the way. As you walk through each terminal, it has been set up as a museum. One of the rooms has paintings, one has sculptures and one has a fun light show. There are not the best food options for vegetarians so I pack my own snacks. The airport just added a new feature for TSA curbside baggage drop off. They also added a digitial ID passport to your flights. I am not sure how this helps because I still had to scan my ID but I needed it in order to drop my bags off here. There was NO LINE compared to the other one which had SO MANY PEOPLE. I got lucky with this new system that I stumbled upon by accident. I appreciate that this is a hub for so many different flights both domestic and international.
Place is huge and very much difficult to navigate if you are there only once or twice. Staff are kind and worthy off your tips. I had my older uncle with me who needed a wheel chair and they airport made sure he was just fine also pushed him where we needed and even offered to put some of my luggage underneath the chair then waited with us until our driver arrived.
I’m probably jinxing myself now but I’ve never encountered an issue in the ATL airport especially for how busy the airport is busiest in the US? - the only thing I always consider is whether I have enough time between flights to connect because sometimes you do have to take the train to another concourse which can take 5-15 minutes so make sure to give yourself at least hour or more between flights. Lots of cool architecture, art, shopping, and eats.
Southwest got us there on time and safely!!! So Pre-TSA was backed up like they only had 2 people working or something. We were at the airport 2 hrs early and was shocked about long lines. We were worried that we would miss our flight. I got to praying and thankfully we made it through! Our flight was a little delayed and so grateful for the small delay! We made it and enjoyed our time with Family!!
If it's your first time at this airport, know how big it is! Despite a fast train system inside, it will take a bit to go from one terminal to the next. We flew into the domestic terminal from DCA and flew out of the international terminal Terminal F for Mexico City. An hour layover was calling it close. One thing I appreciate about this airport is how pet-friendly it is. Dog relief stations are everywhere, sparing us an accident on the way to Mexico City.
