I’ve parked my car at Atlanta Hilton Airport multiple times and it is always easy, safe and with good price, specially if you use airport parking websites. Also, it has a very helpful shuttle to airport. However, I had a bad experience last Sunday 10/08. I arrived at night around 10pm and got the shuttle with some other guests to the hotel. I was literally with no cash in my wallet after a long flight. I had only credit cards. The driver helped everyone with the luggage, I was the last one and he also helped me. But suddenly he started to complain about receiving tip. Some guests gave tip, other ones including me with no cash didn’t give it. He started to hit the cash on his hands saying very rude and angry “I accept tip”. For sure he was in a bad day, we could notice it due he was listening an annoying repeatable loud music on his cellphone while the vehicle was already playing music as well. I totally agree we need to recognize good services with tip, but IF you receive a good service and IF you have cash at the moment in case card is not acceptable. At that moment, after listen all the way an annoying cellphone music playing at the same time with the shuttle music, and being treated as an obligation to have cash to give tip, for sure it was far away from a good service.
The only thing nice about this was the staff at the desk, the little store, the closeness to the airport and the shuttle bus. Was there for 3 nights. I was there with a lot of people. There was 3 in my room. The 1st 2 days our toilet was clogged or just wouldn't flush. Had to keep getting maintenance to come fix it. Fixes it and then there was number 2 on the toilet seat that was not there when we left the room. So gross. Was told they were getting us a new room once check out was done but then all of a sudden when I messaged on the app later on in the evening because I haven't heard anything there was no rooms to move us too. 3 people shouldn't have to worry if the toilet is not going to flush. Restaurant service was very slow but the bar service, you might as well walk down the block, you'll get a drink faster, which is what we did. We waited almost an hour for the bartender before we walked out on our last day there. NOBODY else but us and 2 others were sitting at the bar. The bartender even gave us a menu and still left us hanging for another 30 minutes. The 2 nights before that we waited at least 30 to 40 minutes as well and and when we finally did get our drink it was not even great. It just tasted like juice with nothing mixed with it. We were there for a conference. Food was not great, breakfast foods were frozen or they ran out. There was never enough desert for all the people who came to our conference. The air in the room did not get cold. Matter of fact pretty much the whole hotel was hot. One of the shuttles definitely had no air for it's passengers. Although the front desk helped a little at the end with a small credit for the toilet issue I would not recommend this hotel at all.
I parked my vehicle here at their airport parking lot. I was kind of hesitant since this was a hotel, but my car was safe and my experience was pleasant. I made it to the airport with time to spare even though I had an early morning flight. They have a shuttle for transit to the terminals. Upon my return, my pick up took a little longer than I might have wanted, but I may have just missed the shuttle when I got to the shuttle pick up location, so I couldn't complain about that part. Pricing is awesome, especially if you try some of the discount websites that offer specials.
As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, I highly recommend the Hilton Atlanta Airport. I called and spoke with Derrick and he was very informative regarding the benefits l asked about and assured me the $25 parking fee would be waived and that I could request a room upgrade. Upon arrival Oct.13 the front desk informed of the room upgrade and she was very nice. When I opened the door and walked into room 1404, I was greeted with views of the city and the airport. This corner room was very quiet, had a huge 85 in tv, comfortable clean bed, and enormous marbled wall shower. I will definitely book this hotel again!! Jose Negron -Hilton Honors member
Rooms are severely outdated. Chair was ripped, holes in the walls. Pretty sure the blanket on one bed was a curtain in-between 2 flat sheets. No sound deadening between rooms. Expected better for almost 300 a night. Check in staff was nice. Shuttle service was nice as well.Rooms: 1/5
Please don’t let the lobby and good customer service from the front desk fool you! Our room was not cleaned when we walked in. The beds had no fitted sheets and stains on the pillow cases. We found things left over from previous guests. The blankets holes in them. The headboards needs to be replaced. It seems like they just don’t care. And the mirror in the bathroom was broken. While making the beds ourselves we saw how dusty and nasty is was behind the headboard. I was hoping for better but was extremely disappointed! Update: the elevator goes out. So pack light because you’re going to have to carry your stuff down multiple flights of stairs.
It's a good airport hotel. The rooms are clean. The bathrooms are modern with showers. The bar is lively. The restaurant could be better, especially for breakfast, but it's ok for one night.Rooms: 4/5
Booked a room with a late arrival, despite sending a message to note my arrival time they marked my room a no show and left me with no accommodation as they were fully booked. They didn't even try to assist me with finding somewhere else, just told me they "don't check the messages". I was left with nowhere to stay as all the other hotels locally were also sold out. Incompetent and rude about it!
Where do I start?? At check-in, I was greeted and felt welcomed but ended up getting charged twice. The following morning when I went to inquire about the Wi-Fi not working on my laptop and getting an error of not being able to validate my credentials, I was advised that they never checked me in and had no record of me even staying here. The manager fixed the problem and that was fine. The food and drinks were mediocre at most. The room was decent but not worth the price I paid per night. All of the above would still have been okay with me and I would not be writing a negative review at 440AM had I not encountered the following. I woke up around 4AM and craved a soda. I went downstairs in a pair of shorts, a tank top, exposing my tattoos, and not dressed the way I dress during my other encounters with staff when I dress for work. I noticed that their snack/drink area was closed and went to the front desk to ask if they had any other areas where I could purchase a soda or if they had vending machines. I unfortunately had the “pleasure” of encountering Rosetta at the front desk where I was treated worse than an abandoned dog. Her attitude was an absolute disgust and I felt like I was a huge bother to her as she rolled her eyes and said “that is our vending machine”. Zero hospitality and zero reasons she should ever work in this field or ever talk to the public. As I called her out on her rude attitude, she then started calling me “sir”. I am not one to talk about myself but I’m a successful professional who is covered with tattoos, and was unfortunately profiled and treated worse than a man dressed professionally would have been. Rosetta needs to learn to treat everyone equally no matter what they look like, how they are dressed, and what they “appear” to be. I travel frequently to Atlanta to visit our multi-million dollar assets, but best believe, this “peasant” me, will never step foot in this hotel again! Don’t ever judge a book by the cover Rosetta, and Hilton, do better! I will be emailing corporate so no one else has to endure this horrible treatment while spending their hard earned dollar.
