Fun park for kiddos! I remember coming here all the time as a young child. There’s a dinosaur bone area, playground, and train. The train has always been the coolest part. I remember the park being a lot cleaner as a kid but what can you do. It’s not from a lack of care of the city it’s from being vandalizing. Would recommend this park. Seemed safe enough.
We had a party at one of the pavilions, and it was nice enough and close to parking so getting to and from it wasn't an ordeal. The pavilion itself was also fairly wheelchair accessible. Unfortunately the restrooms felt like they were a mile away, so anyone with mobility problems would need to go well before they have to "go"
Lovely quiet park and a gorgeous rose garden with plenty of sitting areas. Just drive around until you find a shelter or sitting area that's open.
Nice green area quiet with plenty of play and sitting benches. Beautiful Rose garden. Some homeless
We held my mom's celebration of life there this past weekend. The shelter was great Townsend I just wish there were bathrooms that were closer. The rose garden was so pretty a d so peaceful to just walk through and gather some thoughts. The train that is by the shelter is just as fun for the adults as it is for the kids....I will definitely go back ...even just to walk through the rose garden
Great vast area park for football and leashed animals
Beautiful park right on the Mary's River with plenty of room to run around, take the kids/pets to play, or enjoy a BBQ/picnic with friends. Lots of shade in the summer keeps the area pretty cool and it's a nice quiet place to enjoy some nature. There's quite a bit of parking all around the park and you can access the park through South town or from the highway.
Great place to play for the kids, adventure the train, play around the big bones, and walk the trails. Restrooms are right by the parking and pretty clean.... But there were a couple spots homeless have resided...
What a beautiful place, I love to come here and look at all the trees in different colors. The grandkids love the train and the white dinosaur bones
Great park in general-- lots of shade, grass, and trees. Play structures however are not safe for kids unsupervised kids, which is easier for us parents under 4 or 5.
