This Avis car rental location is very shady. I returned a car here and the employee was very eager to attempt to charge me an excessively dirty fee to clean the vehicle. I rented the car for a month and there was only a normal amount of dirt from getting in and out of the car daily.  I told her that I would shake out the mats. She said they needed to be vacuumed.  Then she claimed the dashboard was dirty it was not. I asked her to provide me cleaner and a rag to wipe it down to satisfy this ridiculous claim. She said she had none, which was absurd.  I called a friend to bring cleaner and a rag and then she finally said that wouldn’t be necessary, there will be no additional charge. After reading the other reviews here, it is apparent that this is a scam that they like to pull often. Avoid this place. Terrible experience.

Not a good experience at all. The staff don’t seem to care about customer service, the cars are absolutely destroyed. Our car had dings, scratches, and destroyed body panels on every corner. Was told that if I leave any personal belongings in the car I would be charged $125 detailing fee to remove it. It might be cheap to rent here but I would find a different location before choosing this place.

These people are thieves, they overcharge your account. I rented a suv for a few days. My invoice said $285.00 but after returning the vehicle on time, a few days later I looked at my account and it said $474.00. I went back to them and they told me I would receive my over charged amount back. Its been almost 2 months and no credit back to my account. Avoid this place. Ruben the manager and his receptionist have been giving me the run-around time and time again.

Awful experience, the staff is extremely unprofessional and the owner is unhelpful. My mother had a several month mini-lease through her company that she was recently hired at. After providing the confirmation directly from the company, her license and a major credit card they still refused to give the rental because of a lack of the employee ID. We told the employee then the owner, on the Saturday we were picking up the car, that she started on the following Monday in a city 2 hours away and needed the rental. My mother even told them to contact the company or wait until Monday when she would start to send a copy of her ID over, they still refused and decided to be difficult for little reason. Most likely one of the many reasons why Enterprise is a more successful rental company and will personally continue being our preference whenever we need to rent. If anyone’s considering renting from here, there’s a bigger and more customer friendly Enterprise just a few miles up Route 23 and I’d highly recommend it.

I have been renting from Avis for over 20 years. About 20 rentals plus  1 to 2 weeks each a year. The guys at Willowbrook were great. Ever since they merged with Budget & this new guy took over, they are the worst. Willowbrook closed & the guy on 23 is the nastiest piece of work. He finds 2 dog hairs in the back seat of the car & tells me I had dogs in my car. I tell him I have dogs & the hair is from my clothes. He tells me how could I have brought the car back like that. All he had to due was vacuum. It's freezing out & I guess his lazy ass didn't want to do it. On top of that they made me rush to bring the car back early because they had someone renting it the next morning. I needed to extend it 2 days but I brought it back one day late so they could rent it the next day. I had the car for 2 weeks. They didn't expect to have to vacuum it? I haven't used them in 4 years & figured I would give them a try again. Big mistake, will stick with enterprise for my local rentals from now on. On top of that, I am a preferred plus member.

This is the worst rental place I ever had to deal with. The one-star reviews shown here are completely accurate to my experience. If you have to rent at Avis, avoid this one. But honestly, i would avoid Avis altogether. Go with Enterprise, they are much more accommodating, not nearly as rude, and treat you much better, both in person and their customer service number.

We went to pickup a rental at this location and the guy behind the counter was very unprofessional to say the least. Rude and uses profanity at a customer service counter. He gave the wrong rental to a customer and he was cursing using inappropriate language. Never ever at this location and maybe Budget rentals altogether.

I had booked a rental on a 3rd party website a day before and when I went to pick the car they did not have one at the location. They couldn’t call me to inform since the website didn’t update my phone number on the booking. Gentleman at the office was helpful he arranged a car I had booked at another location and dropped me there to pick the car.

Made a reservation for a car, they gave my reservation away to someone else without even contacting me and then blamed me for their mistake. Don’t waste your time going to this location like I did.

Very fast and friendly staff. The car was clean and as expected.
