This place is incredible! I was visiting from Michigan and saw they had aerial cube and had to sign up! Rachel and the staff are amazing people and the best instructors! The vibe is so welcoming and positive! You absolutely have to give them a try!
Excellent facility and some pretty fantastic talent among the performing artists at their showcase. I'm not a participant in their art, but I've seen two of their showcases and it's apparent that the instructors are awesome, The equipment is well kept and the students are learning some beautiful skills.
This is an incredible studio with caring, talented, inspirational teachers! I am so glad I joined this aerial community. They support and encourage each individual. I’ve been going here for over a year and made so many friends. The private lessons are fantastic and so are the group classes! I always enjoy every class I take and I’ve taken them all.
Axis partnered with the Asian American Ambassadors to co-host a city-wide free workshop with rising international opera soprano, Etta Fung. Miss Fung also performs aerial opera, at times singing upside down on 24' long #aerialsilks . Before the workshop, Axis allowed Etta to practice and to be interviewed by KHOU-TV Channel 11. During the workshop, Miss Fung shared how it's not common to see Asian international opera singers, much less a slim, petite Asian coloratura soprano! Etta Fung is also one of a handful of aerial opera sopranos in the world! She is Hong Kong based and flew in that week after rave reviews from performances in Banff, Canada. She talked about finding your passion and being determined and focused to achieve your dreams. Afterward, she and an Axis instructor opened access to the silks. I really appreciated Axis Pole Fitness's support of this community event!
So many different apparatuses with knowledgeable instructors and an extremely supportive community. I came in as a complete beginner 6 months ago, never having done gymnastics or dance in my life, and have made so much progress. If I could be there everyday, I absolutely would
This is a place I've been dreaming of since I was a little kid - a place to explore acrobatic and aerial arts in a welcoming, empowering, body-positive, playful, clean, and safe manner. As of writing my review, I've taken nearly all the classes offered on both the aerial and pole sides of Axis and therefore worked with most of the instructors and am grateful for all of them and what they individually bring to each class. I brought one of my friends to an Aerial Sling I class who previously had NO experience to anything fitness, and Brandy went above and beyond to make her feel comfortable and achieve "wins" immediately. This is important, especially with how unapproachable aerial and pole fitness seems! I am no stranger to fitness myself, but after about 5 aerial and/or pole classes, I saw and felt my mind and body going through a positive transformation, and I'm excited to see what the future holds for me at Axis! Bonus: drop-in ability! With having a schedule that changes from week to week, committing to a set class and membership is difficult, so I'm elated that this gym offers this option.
There is not enough stars to give to show my appreciation for this place and it's instructors. I've been to multiple of the different classes they offer and every instructor and even the other students are very friendly making a comfortable setting for beginners of all body types and skill level. Since beginning these classes a couple weeks ago I have gained a confidence I haven't felt in over 10+ years. I absolutely love axis aerial and everyone there!
I actually really disliked my teacher and the gym I felt unliked for some reason, the students taught me the most and when I’d ask for help the instructor wasn’t hands on at all or very helpful like if I’ve only done it a few times how am I supposed to automatically understand how to engage all of these muscles and such by you just telling it to me idk. Not a fabulous experience unfortunately and I gave it 4 tries.
They should adjust the hours on Google. I drove 30 minutes to review the facility based on the hours listed of 10AM-8AM and they were closed at 4:12PM. I called and the lady was very polite. She let me know class wasn’t until 6:30PM and the building was not open and could not be opened until then. It was a wasted drive. There hours should be adjusted. But the lady who answered was polite so o appreciated that.
