My husband and I went in today looking for a very specific stroller. We've tried a few different baby boutiques but they are never kept in stock. Babies on the Block had exactly what we were looking for! The employees were extremely helpful and took the time to explain all of the features. Any questions we had about any of their products, they were able to answer. It was very nice to see all of the latest and trendiest baby products in one place instead of just online. Thank you for your great customer service. I was very pleased with the knowledge and professionalism of the employees!
Absolutely terrible customer service! When my husband, our two kids, and I walked into this store, we planned to purchase a couple of items for each of our kids. Well, we were met by two employees kind of staring us down. Then, one male employee walked up to us and stood there just staring at my daughter interact with a stuffed dinosaur. He said nothing. He didn't ask how we were doing or if he could help us find anything. My daughter was tired of the dinosaur in no time flat and started to look elsewhere. The male employee followed us and stared us down some more. I looked around the store and no one else was being followed. They were free to shop at will. Unfortunately, all the other patrons appeared to be hispanic or white while we are Black. The gentleman started fiddling around with a perfectly manicured display to try to seem like he was accomplishing something. My husband had our diaper bag but I would anticipate every customer to have a diaper bag unless they're making a registry. And, the bag was on his back. I told my husband, in the store, that I don't like to be followed so we left without buying anything. It's shameful that this appears to be their protocol. I will never recommend this store to anyone nor will I ever support its business with our money. I don't suggest you do either. Buy buy baby is up the street and if you simply want to shop local toy stores, Mildred and Dildred is close by, too. My daughter was upset because we left without buying anything but c'est la vie. We were simply appalled by the discrimination we experienced.
The gentleman who helped us knew a lot about the products and he was very nice. They also have a lot of classic wooden toys. I feel like I haven't seen a lot of their products in other stores like babies r us and buy buy baby.
Really nice stuff but every time my husband and I walk in there were bombarded and followed around by the employees which is pretty uncomfortable and ran us out of the store quickly because we aren't able to look at products on our own without being pestered about every other thing we even glance at.
Store has closed. Went out of business.
