Winston Salem Gears and Guitars 2022 was a successful event. Rain did keep some people away but not everyone. Watched some biking then enjoyed the live music there was plenty of food trucks. Bailey Park has clean restrooms and lots of places to walk around and enjoy lunch when they aren’t holding events. My Great Dane Ruth and I enjoy visiting and people watching.
Well-kept, good·sized park in a convenient-to-downtown location. Lots of open space, pavillon, a few benches, water feature. A few places nearby to get some food, coffee, snacks. Many community events. A great asset to the area. Great place to picnic, eat lunch, take the dog, be still, hang out, enjoy community.
Came here for Gears and Guitars, what a great time. It was a bit rainy and muddy near the stage but the park itself is simply amazing.
Went to see the headliner Gin Blossums at Baily Park. The Opening act was Camel City Yacht Club which we really enjoyed. Great venue. Busy but not crowded. Nice grassy bank to sit on of you don't have a chair. We found parking easy. Food trucks and beverage stands. Really enjoyed the music and the park!
Great place with plenty of great stores and restaurants. The area is a bit pricey. Even if you just want a quick bite or a cup of coffee, you will be paying a premium. The only issue I have with it is the lack of parking nearby.
I love spending time out here to take in the walk-friendly area with my family. From picnics out on the lawn to personal days off from work to enjoy a nice day with my daughter, it's a great place to unwind and relax. It's also super photogenic! There are lots of great places in close proximity to it like the Bailey South Lowline, smokestacks, and more to get some great backdrops for photographs with the fam.
An innovative place of Winston Salem boosting business and science research in an unexpected location divided by old remnant with new architectural structures and technology, plus a local cafe and pizza worth visiting in the vicinity.
The Juneteenth experience was amazing, the vendors the concert and the area was outstand congratulations to the organizers.
We got pizzas and shared a salad. The salad was a very generous portion and definitely was enough to share. The pizza crust was some of the thinnest and most delicious I've had. I went with pepperoni to play it safe, but will be much more adventurous next time. And next time I'll also try the tiramisu!
