Mr. Roger and his wife are the best campsite managers we have met so far! They’ve offered to help everyone with setting up, they’re very informative, and they’re very friendly. We enjoyed the few times they came out and talked to us! 10/10 recommend this place JUST for the great managers here!Rooms: 5/5
I was told this campsite is now under new management. By reading the past reviews, I’m sure glad it is under new management! Mr. Roger and his wife were both very helpful, informative, and friendly! We have never stayed at a campsite where the managers come by and check on you, or came by just to talk… it was very nice of Mr. Roger and his wife to do so! We’ll be back, even just to see them again!
We were told this place is under new management again. Our experience was much better than many of the other reviewers. The lawn was cut, the park was clean, the manager was friendly, and we didn’t notice any strange long-term people. Lots of workers staying here We will stay here again.Rooms: 5/5
New Owners/Hosts Very Friendly and Accomodating. More Improvements and Upgrades being installed! Great location and Beautiful park. We enjoyed our stay and will return!Service: 5/5
Flint River RV is less a park than a weedy, buggy vacant lot. We had the same experience as many one star reviewers here; grass in need of mowing, excuses about the park being purchased a year ago promising that the new owners were making improvements, dogs roaming off leash, faulty wiring causing our power to come and go, no gates or other type of security, sub par bathrooms, and what looked like a homeless encampment in the site next to us, with the occupant roaming the park in his socks, muttering to himself, likely in need of community mental health services he was not receiving. Mo, the manager on site responded immediately when I inquired about the individual and stated he was known to park management and was not dangerous. Little consolation but I did appreciate the timely response. There is a Walmart nearby, a fairly large Wynn Dixie, and downtown Bainbridge has some lovely shops and a good restaurant, The American. I would not recommend this park and I would strongly urge anyone to continue driving the 35 miles to Tallahassee before settling for this neglected and depressing "park".
This is positively the worst park we have camped at in our 50 plus years of camping. The grass was nearly 2 ft tall and we had to carry our little dog to the road to walk her. We asked some of the campers when they cut the lawn and they said it hadn’t been cut in the 2 months they were there. It was hard to find the hookups in the long grass. One site had a water leak and it was just running down the road, by morning it was a huge puddle across the whole road. We were only here over night and if we weren’t so tired from driving we would have requested a refund and found a place to park elsewhere. It was noisy all night from the nearby traffic. And for all this we paid nearly $50. This park has a lot of potential but not under this management. Clearly no one cares to upgrade this park which is really sad! We gave it one star only on it’s potential. Campers had left their garbage on the road as you couldn’t find the dumpster. I can’t even imagine what the showers must have been like. A sad place!!!!!
In reading the reviews, the new owners said to give them time as they are working on improvements. That is not what we found..it was awful! The grass was not mowed and was really high; the flower bed were in horrible shape with lots of weeds overcoming them; the entrance had a broken ice machine, lots of dirt and by no means was it welcoming; the mini-golf corse was such a eye-sore; I would not have let my child play on that playground as it was all broken down with trash everywhere; the sites were all uneven; the king-time campers were really bad to look at….I could go on and on. All of these could have been taken care of in the 6+ months that the new owner which lives up north has had this property. It is going to stay in this shape until they get new management that is willing to work. They had lots of open sites and I can see why!!!! By the way, Trent River has nothing to do with this campsite; it is a totally different identity.
Only 1 out of 2 washers work. The grass was 2Ft tall when we arrived for our 1 mth stay. 3 weeks in it's 4ft tall. When asked, their lawmower is broken. That's no excuse. You can rent a riding mower for $199 at THD. The bugs are fearce. After a hard rain, our spot was flooded for three days. No drainage. We finally moved to a dry space. 1 week to go. In the fourth week, I was plugging something in at the podium and I stepped into an open pipe that was completely covered by grass. I had to call an ambulance. My ankle was sprained. The ambulance driver wasn't happy. He had trouble driving on the wet tall grass. When I called the manager to report the incident, he didn't seem concerned. He didn't even open an incident report. The office is NEVER open, but he answers the phone. Mail/Amazon is left outside the office door. Not secure. If we need to stay in this area any longer, we'll find a new location. Worst place we have ever stayed, but it has so much potential.
We have tried this campground, three different times every six months and it’s always the same excuses excuses excuses. The grass was extremely tall and the bugs were unreal who wants to get out and walk your dogs with the grass so tall it’s ridiculous. The property manager is never available and every time he says the same thing that we’re under new management and trying to make improvements after a year of new ownership. This should’ve been well-maintained. Please look elsewhere, there has got to be better campgrounds in the area. I have learned that I can go to Tallahassee and still get my work done in the area just a bit longer of a drive, but it will be worth it.
I stayed for about 6 months. It’s probably the place I’ve stayed the longest at so far. We have stayed at hundreds of RV parks, campgrounds, rv resorts across the United States and Canada. I must say Flint River Rv Park is a great park for the money. I love the monthly price of $550! For the price, you get a huge RV site, it’s across the street from one of the nicest city parks in the area, and you get free entertainment most weekends over at Earle Maye across the street The RV park manager Mo is super friendly and always ready to help out. The park is just gorgeous. The grass got cut recently. They have made improvements to the road. I haven’t needed 4WD on my truck. My favorite part of the park is that you can ride your bike across the street to an amazing bike path. The Fourth of July show was amazing lasting over an hour and a half showing one of the best fireworks display I have ever seen. You get all kinds of vendors and really fun events. It was amazing tbh. Usually, when I pay this price point, you’re in the middle of nowhere, not across the street in a very bikeable area. The spots for RVs are massive, so you've got plenty of room. Recently, they changed the packages to be stored inside of the office. I prefer it when the packages were outside so that I could grab them in the middle of the night when I got off of work. I know that the change likely came as a regard to some of the reviews here. For RV internet, I would recommend using Tmobile Home Internet. It's $55 a month and may be your cheapest way of getting internet and you can move it everywhere you go. We were measuring roughly 350MBPS each day. Great place for that at this park. Oh yeah btw there is a slight highway noise. My RV ac tends to be quite louder than the traffic so it did not bother me. I’ve had this happen at most Rv parks. I totally loved my time at Flint River and would definitely stay there again. So yeah, I'd say check it out and ignore the reviews. Nearby activities: Earle May basin is amazing park to walk to! Walkability: Very walkable area
