My son started last Halloween and was terrified to go into class. Once he eased in, we started going every week and haven’t stopped since . He was determined to get his white belt, even more focused when he got his yellow belt, and now has his eyes on the orange belt. I love all the instructors for making class enjoyable and being patient while Nic and his friends make strides for progress . You all truly are life changers !
We love Balanced Martial Arts!! My son is 7 and in 8 months he's gotten a lot more confident and assertive. All the instructors are amazing with the kids. Each class is fun and keeps them engaged. They do a good job of keeping them motivated and focused. They are also really flexible with scheduling and it's easy to make it to the classes with life constantly throwing things at you last minute.
My daughter has been attending Balanced Martial Arts 8 months. She started as a white belt and has just been promoted to orange belt. She has become more focused and independent since she has begun the program. We couldn’t be happier with her progress. Each Sensei has shown support to our daughter and the conversations they have about character development really help my daughter shine. We highly recommend Balanced Martial Arts and it is one of the best choices to help our daughter grow and become the strong independent person she needs to be in the future. She also loves the program and is excited every time she goes.
I have be coming to Balanced Martial Arts for six years. The Senseis are helpful, well trained and work to ensure everyone is successful in their learning. They have fun events and work hard to get people in loved regardless of their skill level. I really enjoy coming! I have learned a lot about martial arts and also about skills to help me in school as well as every day. It is a great place to train!
My son has thrived here. They are great with special needs kids and at reinforcing positive values such as respect and discipline into the everyday. The senseis balance the serious nature of the lessons with some humor as is age appropriate. My son wouldn’t play any sports but has enjoyed coming here and continues to engage and improve. They also are good at knowing if your kid is “ready” and won’t just take your money and sign you up if your kid is not quite able to participate in a meaningful way. I had another studio try to sign us up when my kid was just running laps around the room. We waited a couple years and Balanced was able to admit my oldest but told us to give a younger child a little more time to mature before starting, which I agreed with. They are very professional and have a whole curriculum that extends beyond the walls of the studio if parents and kids can engage with at home.
My 5 year old has been with them for two years and she loves it ! The scheduled are wide open and second to none. The Sensei s are amazing with the kids. And the lessons go beyond just self defense but also cover subjects that make them able to with day to challenges .
My 6 year old son has been at BMA for about a year now. I am very happy with the entire staff, they are absolutely amazing with the kids. They lead by example and I really like their methods. Everything is so organized and precise. They are committed to seeing the progress for each child that is aligned with what the parents want from day 1. You definitely want to give BMA a try!
The staff and instructors have gone above and beyond. They are great with the kids. My daughter loves attending. She continues to grow more confident and focus. Thank BMA Team for all you do.
We have been attending Balanced Martial arts for 6 years. My son, who was super shy and refused to do team sports just earned his back belt. In the past 6 years he has grown into a confident young boy. The Sensei have encouraged and pushed him further than I could have imagined. They go beyond just classes, fun rewards events to attend, pizza nights, seminars and workshops. The post cards that arrive in the mail commenting on a great class bring a smile to my boys faces. If you want a place with a personal touch, people who get to know your child for who they are and a great program, this is it.
My son is almost 7 and has been training for a 1 and half and he loves it, great instructors amazing place
