I've been here multiple times but wanted to post the picture of my mac and cheese. This was the best thing I've gotten from here yet!! I loved it. service is always hit or miss here - some servers are happy to be there and others just rush you out. Their drinks are phenomenal and I'd recommend their mules and their sangria.Food: 5/5
Stopped in for Happy Hour before the pre-screening of Ordinary Angels at the neighboring AMC theatre. Drove around the complex and spied Bar Louie. The outdoor seating attracted my attention even though we sat at the bar. Open late every night. Havana Nights mixed drink had brown sugar expresso syrup on special for $7, regularly $11. Miller's Lite was $4. Consider this an upscale establishment, and the prices reflected that. Did not have the time to try their food so was not able to rate or give a 5 star review.
Super cute restaurant, but the atmosphere is the only good part. Our food came out cold, 2 burgers and some chicken fingers shouldn’t have been that complicated. Our server never checked on us I think she was just inexperienced because she asked us how to make the appetizers and entree not come out at the same time. Kinda server 101, she never asked how our food was she just came back after 25 minutes to ask if we wanted the check.
Our waitress forgot to come back and check on us in a timely manner, and our meals took pretty long to come out of the kitchen... BUT the food made up for it! The voodoo pasta was delish. I was expecting the voodoo sauce to be more "spicy" but I still asked for more on the side bc it was so tasty. Their fried fish was great and paired superbly w/the malt vinegar aioli.
Very old style, everything seemed a bit worn. Servers don't tell you happy hour specials and there weren't any menus that told you. Had to go on the website to look. Lemon drop martini was good but grabbed some Guinness Draught Stout and the glass wasn't very "beer clean" and wasn't poured correctly. My water glass had dried up tomato sauce of some sort on the side of it. The honey Jalapeño wings were delicious. The Buffalo Mac & cheese was like dry Velveeta and the calamari wasn't done right; needed to be breaded better and maybe fried a little longer.
Never received plates for appetizers. Food was cold. Fries were stale. Silverware especially glasses were disgusting. Had to order another drink bug it came when I had already closed my tab. Went on a Sunday there was hardly anyone there but service was extremely slow. Never returningFood: 1/5
This place is amazing!! design is other level of this Bar. They have a drink that called The Method To The Madness that make you remember something beautiful wen you was younger, I feel that. Food taste good, is a good place for enjoy with your friends or love one. It’s not for kids. But the personal need more attention for the Costumer .
the food was pretty good and the drinks were great, but the decor was so weird and bad see pics. also the floor was very sticky
We stopped into Bar Louie on a Friday night. Another restaurant in the same shopping center that we really like had already done last call. So we entered BL around 10p and found it not busy at all. We sat at the bar for dinner and drinks. Rachel waited on us and let us know that they were on the Late Night Menu. I asked if they would give me one of the mains since it was only just past 10p. She checked with the kitchen and they agreed to make an exception. I ordered the Voodoo Pasta and my husband ordered the Hot Honey Chicken with fries as well as an order of Old Bay Wings. After about 20 mins passed, I mentioned to Rachel that his wings hadn't come out yet. Rachel replied flippantly: "Oh you wanted them before your meal? Well you didn't say that". HUH????? Who orders an appetizer and has it come out with the meal? Why was it our responsibility to tell her to serve the appetizer as it was meant to be served? Was it not her job to confirm if she was confused?? Isn't an appetizer by definition a prelude to the meal? Anyway... Rachel disappeared into the kitchen for another 15 mins before coming out with wings that were DRENCHED in Old Bay seasoning. 15 minutes after the wings, our meals come out. My Voodoo Pasta - which is supposed to come in a "housemade spicy voodoo sauce" had zero sauce....and I mean zero...more like olive oil, garlic and maybe some parmesan. See pic attached to this review. My husband's fries were a child sized portion - not in the mule mug - and lukewarm at best. Not hot. Barely there honey. The best part of our night at Bar Louie was the other bartender, Jonathan. He was very pleasant, accommodating he went and got my husband some hot fries! and funny. Bar Louie was a big disappointment in our opinion and I doubt we will be back.
Nice experience, seemed short staffed, saw some couples get up and leave due to wait with the place 25% full, drinks were excellent thoughService: 3/5
