In 2014, Bard on the Beach Shakespeare Festival’s celebrated its 25th anniversary from June 11 to September 20. To celebrate, Bard brought back two audience favourites: A Midsummer Night’s Dream, directed by Dean Paul Gibson and Meg Roe’s The Tempest. Rounding out the landmark season with a bold adaptation of Cymbeline, directed by Anita Rochon and Equivocation, written by contemporary playwright Bill Cain and directed by Michael Shamata.
As well as the plays, Bard on the Beach offers a vibrant, on-site Village where patrons can gather for one full hour before performances begin.
