Excellent experience. After having a terrible experience at Black+blue our group decided to go to the Keg for the birthday celebration. We had an incredible dining experience at The Keg Restaurant! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with warm hospitality and a cozy ambiance. The service was impeccable, with attentive and knowledgeable staff who made sure every aspect of our meal was outstanding. The menu offered a delectable variety of options, from succulent steaks to fresh seafood, catering to every palate. Highly recommended!
Our waitress, Cristy, was an amazing person always keeping in check on how we are doing once in awhile without being visible in our way. She suggested the double baked potato on the side for us on the main meal. Thank you for that! The food was good as well. Overall, my experience was smooth. Would come back again.Food: 5/5
Made a last minute reservation for the roof top and scored a perfect table for 2 in Julia’s section. As a past hospitality manager I was incredibly impressed with the experience. The timing of service, the flow of responses to our requests ex. My gal pal only had to request a hot water with lemon once! Julia read the table and our conversation very well. She was charismatic, engaging at the right level and provided flawless service. Highly recommend the Keg Classic dinners with an extra dirty martini. Much appreciation for a smooth and enjoyable dinner!
Very good service! Starting from the bottom, the hostesses were great, all the way to the rooftop. Everyone was amazing! Our server Kristy was awesome, friendly and helpful. The drinks were good, and the dinner was tasty! My favourite part was the Keg bread warm delicious bread and butter !! So amazing! Can’t wait to come back! On top of that, when the bill came, we were presently surprised that it was quite affordable! Overall, a great place to go and hands down the BEST PATIO in Vancouver!
Visited The Keg Rooftop to celebrate our wedding anniversary last night. We brought our own special bottle of champagne and were so pleased with their corkage fee service to chill, pop, store and pour our champagne bubbles for us! Since it was a special night out for us I was particularly about where we sat, we preferred privacy for our dining experience and Jackson at the Host both was most accommodating to find us a table that suited our preferences. We were served on by the delightful Christy who added so much fun and quality to our evening. Our food was perfect, cooked exactly to our preferences and we both indulged in Keg famous steak, lobster and pawns. Overall a 5 star dining experience on the rooftop last night, we were most grateful for the excellent service Jackson, Christy and the kitchen provided.
Friendly staff from the first greeting to the service. Dark, sophisticated ambience that can both dress up or down. Good selection of vegetarian selections. Recommend the cauliflower with a light batter and tangy/slight acidic sauce. Good portion steaks. Surf & turf. Happy hour before 6pm. Nice outdoor areas. Able to accommodate large parties.
First time trying this restaurant. I got blackened chicken with salad and mashed potatoes, for myself. My partner got pistachio crust salmon with mash and greens. We picked it up since it was late for a sit down dinner. No mashed potatoes, with any of our orders. The chicken was dry but edible, very mediocre stuff compared to other restaurants like Joey's or Earl's. The salmon dish was good, but nothing exceptional. Caesar salad croutons in with the greens soggy could have given a different container for croutons. For a restaurant of this caliber you'd expect good presentation even with take out. Sadly, going back to this restaurant chain is a no for me.
Service is excellent, the venue has a great atmosphere. The steak is reasonably priced and the quality reflects that… my order was medium rare but it was very chewy. I wasn’t the biggest fan of the steak and next time will probably try something else. However I was very pleased with the cocktail selection and the presentation of the drinks. I recommend coming here but I’d suggest trying other entrees from the menu! Or maybe my steak was just an anomaly from the hundreds of steak they serve everyday!
Best keg in the lower mainland. Never had a bad time here and always a good time. I've never had a steak cooked bad here but some other locations yes so this is he only location I trust in the lower mainland. Dunsmuir is legit too. But Yaletown is good and more casual. Plus they had the rooftop in the summer. Always a good time and the staff is always on point. Highly recommend and been a repeat customer since they first opened over a decade ago
Made reservations for 7pm to try their dine-out menu, upon arriving at the restaurant the hostesses were quick to greet us and sat us at the bar. When creating the reservation I had chosen to be sat at the dining area as I understood the bar can be quite loud and not suitable for family dinners. When I informed the hostess of the matter and stated I had booked for the dining area, we were told that it was full and therefore, they could not accommodate us at the dining area. Was quite disappointed in the seating arrangement as they ask for your preference when creating the reservation, but upon your arrival you may be seated elsewhere. Our waiter was amazing and made up for the inconvenience so that was a good turn around. Food was good, but the soup came out lukewarm and wasn't as enjoyable as perceived. The steak, sides, and dessert were amazing- especially the billy miner pie. Overall this was a good visit and the dine-out menu was worth the price.
