Barren Hill Tavern & Brewery

The atmosphere is awesome, and the beer is awesome as well. Though in my honest opinion, and it's only because I was a cook/chef, for a few years. I personally feel some, of the dishes are a little too heavy on saltiness. But the service is awesome, and the two Birthday parties I setup, for my girlfriend, and another friend there went above, and beyond. We even got to meet the dog that roams. Oh yea, and if you're going out, for a few drinks, and want a small crowd, but still a fun crowd then this is the place to go. When you sit at the bar you feel like you're at a very nice house, and very comfortable.

Menu is interesting, the appetizers we had were good but the Brisket sandwich wasn't what I expected it to be. Something described as a brisket sandwich with caramelized onions and cheese should not resemble a grilled cheese with pieces of brisket in it. It was very heavy and very difficult to eat, being basically a giant griled cheese. A brisket sandwich should be piled with brisket and complimented by the addons, not overpowered by them.

Great food and beer. The menu isn't very large but everything we had was delicious. House beers were interesting and very good. Service was fast and friendly. We'll be going back!

Always something good to eat. I love Sunday brunch too! Not a buffet!
