The Barrow County Museum est. 1993 holds artifacts of Barrow county and is the home of the Barrow County Historical Society
The Museum is housed inside the Historic Barrow County Jail. The jail was built in 1916 and desiged by James J. Baldwin. The castle like building faces West Athens Street. The hanging tower, located on the 3rd floor, has never been used. The Barrow County Museum is a State Historic Site and is on the National Register of Historic Sites. Free Admission
