We enjoy having a membership here because it offers way more than just a gym. The only complaint I have ever had was inconsistencies and unreliability of the pool schedules, but I will say that it has been a while since that has been an issue.
Pleasant and clean experience. They foster a polite and community oriented atmosphere. The upstairs track let's you watch the activities below while you do laps.
Visited for healthy kids day. Super fun event for all kids
My son takes swim lessons at the Y. They changed the time of his lessons after all of the classes had filled up and were very unwilling to do anything to help make it make work other than a refund. I have to set an alarm to remember to register because classes fill up so quickly, so changing the time after registration and then not being able to offer lessons at a reasonable time for toddlers and working families is very frustrating. I'm not sure what 3 year old is able to get out of swim lessons after 6, get home, eat dinner, take a bath, and get to bed in such a short amount of time. If changes needed to be made, then the whole registration process should be reset. I'm so disappointed in how little they care about disrupting kids schedules and the genuine sadness that my kid is dealing with because of this last minute change. Soon to be a former member.
This place is just great. An amazing resource for the city of Bath. I run on the track four or five days a week and it is an important part of me staying healthy.
Worked there for 7 years. Loved it.
Nice gym and children's gymnastics class
I've been a member for years and rely on the facility to stay fit during the summer and fall months. The indoor track is especially useful. The weight room is great however the weight machines are old, worn, out of adjustment and won't stay adjusted and badly need replacement.
Therapy pool is great as is the hot tub but, the restrictions on the hot tub needs to be lifted so more people can use at the same time without having to schedule which very few people use including myself! They also need to keep the pool open later so more people can get some use especially on Friday s.
They offer many fitness and sports features. The people who use the Y are friendly and welcoming and often arrange extra socializing events that are fun. The Y is supportive of these. The front desk is staffed by mostly but not all friendly, helpful people. The facility is fairly clean but could use an overall upgrade in standards. The upper management is very nice and helpful and they give scholarships.
