Got my Blueprint 3 special edition card for The Book of Hov 2023 today and it was great, the library is gorgeous, the librarians are nice and I also found out that it’s also a seed library as of April 2023 ! Thanks you again! And I will for sure be back to check out the seed selection
It’s a great library! They have outdoor seating now and masksmost of the time! There is seating inside, wifi and 2 floors. The top floor is the kids books and activities and the bottom floor is the adult section and towards the right is the young adult, manga, summer reading and sat prep section. Although kids are noisy sometimes there’s not much security can do since parents might complain. The focus should be on the parents educating them and suspending them entering the library
Good place , helpful staff, safe environment. 2 floors a whole floor for children from 0 to 16 years. The other floor for the adults.
Why no story time schedule around 3pm to 6 pm . We need afternoon schedule for age 4,5 years old because 7am to 2pm .They have school .
Worst ever library if you want to concentrate on your work, reading , computers or etc ....too loud , kids screaming, running all over the floors actually it should be converted to a kindergarden, some of the staff are disrespectful to patrons are very nosy , act weird act like their are doing their jobs during rounds like for examples organizing books into shelf's but actually they are watching snitching what patrons are doing on the computers section etc etc.. Sometimes they even make up their own rules to specific people or have a preferential treatment for some. For example, they would ban stuff on some to bring it to library while not banning it to others or they would ban u to eat food there while letting others eating food there I've seen a guy eating food there in front a librarian she didn't say nothing to him but another time one guy brought a snack in and she told him he wasn't allowed to eat there..
I thought the library was a quiet and peaceful place to read and study. However people here are very loud, noisy and obnoxious. The staff also talks and laughs very loudly and not in whispers as they should. And the kids section is truly obnoxious with kids screaming, crying and running all over the place and the "security guard" doesn't do anything about it. Very upset.
Very good place for your kids from age one year to all ages
Please clean the 2nd floor restroom ,kids go in there and it was disguisting!!!
The public library hours at the Bay Ridge location can be better. They should be open later, so people have enough time to pick up and drop off what they need . The library is clean and the staff was helpful. I prefer this location compared to others. Just wish their hours would be extended. I'm sure everyone will agree.
Is nice ,not too busy , clean. Many books for children.
