"McKinley Park Branch entered the Brooklyn Public Library system in 1911 as a deposit station. As the community grew, a new 7,425-square foot facility opened in 1959 and was renovated in 1995.Although one of Brooklyn's smallest branches we offer a wide selection of books, periodicals, DVDs in multiple languages. I grew up going to this library and if this library sees this review you might remember you guys called 911 because an older kid punched me in the stomach when I was 5-6 Thank you for helping me when I was most vulnerable but now I'm old enough to Handle things my self but some things I can't handle I made many friends here the staff is great sometimes its very loud and they need to clean to toilets more often but it's clean sometimes overall great place with lots of memories :
Annoying staff... Library is loud and full of screaming children running around all over the place. I remember once I borrowed a few books, and they were overdue for over a week since I did not have enough time to return them. Charged over 100 dollars!!! Unbelievable! The bathroom is utterly disgusting, there were pee puddles inside and it smelled horrible. Almost made me puke.
The librarians are so nice and always help me to find the books I need!
I just wanted reading book than I chose , but they tell me MY USA Driver license can’t get book from there !! He say has need NY ID with ny address !!!!
On the website, it says this branch is temporarily closed but they should update that on google maps as well to avoid confusion. Also, the return box outside the building set up for Covid times is stuffed to the brim…
Small but solid selection!
It's really good the best library I ever went to and the only but just 2 things. One its alittle too loud. Two, why the community room thing is only for 10 year olds?
I came today for join free WiFi, I should send some important documents, but they are turned off internet, when I asked from the staffs, they told me we are working on to fix it I wait there 30 minutes and I asked again from lady on front desk, what happened with the internet, she is without any desire told me we still working, I never meet with this situation any others library in Brooklyn, and people who works there it's so tuff :
Great library. There aren't charging outlets anywhere near working desks and chairs area. Would benefit immensely if they could do add them.
