Baylor Lodge #1235 was initially founded on Dec. 8, 1926 as J. W. Speight Lodge and was located about ten miles northwest of the town of Brenham, Texas. The name was changed to Baylor Lodge in 1957 upon moving to campus of Baylor University in Waco. The Lodge was situated on the outskirts of the Baylor campus with the idea that it could attract and assist some of the “good men” from the University. Currently, members of this 83-year-old lodge hold regular meetings just a short drive from Baylor University campus. Many of Baylor University's own founding fathers and many of its presidents, faculty and staff over the years have been members of this historic fraternal organization
