I will give it 4 stars....because I don’t know if it was worth the price. We paid $45 for two of us and a 2 year old. The black and blue burger was good...just not sure it was worth $10.75 by itself. I had to pay extra for the fries. The drinks were $2.50. The atmosphere was cool. We had a little room to ourselves and with a TV and couch. My 2 year old loved being able to run around. We went shopping after and the playground was really cool!
Great experience, burgers and onion rings are delicious! We are glad to have another restaurant option out here in Blackhawk. Very busy since they are so new but worth the wait. We will definitely be going back.
Beck's Prime is a burger and bar restaurant located within the new Living Spaces furniture store/warehouse off of Heatherwilde by Texas 45 toll. It does have a direct-to-outside entrance. Spanning two floors by way of a wide staircase and an elevator, it also features patio seating on both levels and a glass-enclosed party room. Featuring wine, beer and liquor licensing, the bar portion itself is somewhat small and located behind the ordering counter, making for a somewhat noisy experience for bar patrons during peak hours. Restaurant seating is expansive, however; well lit and spacious. My party of four was surprised with the rapidity of the food service. Appetizers were out within moments, and the burgers not long after, despite 6:30pm Saturday prime business hours and a patron in line before us seemingly ordering to-go food for a party the size of a small states' legislature. We were pleasantly surprised. Onion rings were very large and thick, with an aioli that we discovered contained a significant amount of mild curry powder. Jalapeno poppers with a cheddar and pimento cheese filling came out with a decent ranch dressing, although I found these on the more salty end of the spectrum. The burgers are cooked Medium, but still juicy to the point of needing to hold them over the baskets to keep from making a mess. The fries were quite good, of the skin-on fresh-cut variety but had none of the over- or undercooked issues these normally have at other establishments. Note that fries and other sides are not included or as part of a combo and are around $3 per serving. For groups of three to six I recommend getting the single one pound "family" fries and share it. I have only two mild pieces of constructive criticism- during busy times, the two register ordering area can get quite full and "lane confusion" occurs frequently. Stanchions with ropes might assist with this. Secondly, drink refills are a little laborious as you can only get them at the bar or the ordering counter and one feels like you have to either wait the full ordering queue to get some more iced tea or try to flag down bar staff while standing between seated bar patrons. A separate non-alcoholic beverage refill station would go a long way to alleviate the crowding. Overall I give Beck's Prime a 4 out of 5 star rating.
I forgot to post immediately but my wife and I were there 2 wks ago. It's a real good burger joint. Cant remember the name of the one I had but it had carmelized onions, bacon, jalapenos and it was real good. My wife had the chile burger and was good but I thought they could have gone heavier on the chile. We like it messy...oozing out but still a real good burger. They were juicy and you could taste all the fixings. We had a family order of onion rings and they didnt disappoint as far as how big and how many.....they were good. Whataburger and Sonics onion rings are better just my opinion. Will go back to try another burger for sure.
Very great tasting burgers. I’d probably try split the fry next time because it was a lot of foods. They had a decent beer selection and very cold glass. The other food sounded good as well. The place is spotless clean and very modern feel. Lots of open room and some rental rooms up stairs. The staff at the bar was very friendly.
Not worth the price. Good friendly staff, clean environment, but there was nothing special about the meat, nothing special about the burger, and parmesan fries were okay at best. Won't be returning. There's much better places for the same price.
Overpriced, the Mediterranean salad had way too much dressing, ask for it on the side. The burger is just average and also had too much mustard for my wife's liking. We had high Hope's for this place and its burger however it's just average food that is a bit costly. The sweet tea is great.
This was my first time here, and I can wait to come back! The staff was friendly and patient as I had a hard time deciding what to try I ordered the the stuffed potato. The potato had crunchy skin, and perfectly soft center was filled with butter, cheese, sour cream, fresh chives, and little pieces perfectly cooked, tender, juicy steak! I saw someone mention the pricing, so I'll just say it's about the same you'd pay at a good bbq place. We also really enjoyed sitting upstairs on the balcony
Just order the kids cheeseburger combo meal for $8. Comes with custom made burger, fries & drink. Skip the queso appetizer. Chocolate shake is Amazing. See pics.
LESS THAN IMPRESSED... a LOT less. This place was bad news from the start. Tried to enter from the furniture store. Turned the door handles and they were locked. Pulled the doors, they wouldn't open. But, we could see people in there! Wth?? No signage at all on the door. No "open" sign, no "push" or "pull signs, no "welcome" signs, etc. After a moment of bewilderment wondering why a business didn't seem to want our money, someone came out and we ran in through the open door. Looking at the menu, we weren't shocked because we saw it online and knew that sometimes an awesome burger does cost $10-12. Then, it was all downhill from there: 1. For those prices we thought it should've been table service 2. Counter staff wasn't exactly warm and welcoming and lacked basic social skills 3. It's a noisy place and the order taker was a very low talker. 4. We ordered from the "starters" menu but that stuff didn't show up until the rest of the order did. It would've been nice to nosh on the "starters" BEFORE the entrees arrived. 5. Our burgers arrived along with other items we didn't order. The cheese on my burger was ICE COLD, bun was dry, bland, and barely room temperature. The burger was lukewarm at best. My wife's burger did have mostly melted cheese but the sauteed onions she paid extra for looked liked leftovers scraped off the grill. 6. No one made an effort to see if we were doing ok. I saw a guy who appeared to be a manager several times but he never even made eye contact with us. Probably good for him that he didn't. 7. The best part of our overpriced "meal" was the ice water. It was priced right free and tasted as it should. I wish we had gone to Yardbirds, Red Robin, Chili's, or hell, even Burger King. This was my first and LAST time at Beck's.
