THIS RESTAURANT IS BEAUTIFUL! My wife and I stayed in the log cabin motel two nights for a romantic weekend getaway. The restaurant and bar are located on site in one building but separated. So we never had to leave our room except for a short walk to eat and have a adult beverage lol. The food is a bit expensive but everything is delicious. Except for the steaks they were a bit tough. About the same as I’ve had a Waffle House but 4X the price. Maybe the cook had a off night. But everything else great. the salad bar was awesome. The waitress warned us not to have the chicken wings unless you like them extremely hot. The restaurant is very clean. We had the surf & turf our first night but chose chicken fingers from the kids menu the second night. The interior is Elegant it has huge stain glass lights in the ceiling, a fireplace, piano, many antique gas pumps, carousel horses, vintage plane replica’s among other things. Miss. Becky herself who’s probably close to 90 was there both nights dressed to the nines and still greeting guests with a smile. The restaurant has an elegant look of days of old. But, that’s where the charm and class ends. The staff looked unkept and were wearing leggings so tight it pretty much showed their business and faded old tee shirt’s. We think they are mostly Miss Becky’s relatives helping out. Most of the customers looked like they just got off work with torn jeans or shorts and tee shirts so worn and faded you couldn’t read the slogans printed on them. Not that you’d want to lol. And what happened to manners? Take off your hat when you sit down to eat. This is a beautiful classy place for god sake. If you’re taking your lady out for dinner dress up and show her she matters. Don’t dress like you’re taking your latest dating app hook up to Buffalo Wild Wings for a cheap meal and a couple beers to loosen her up before you bring her back to the trailer park or the back seat of your truck to give her a night of disappointment and shame. I mean you’re personal hygiene and outfit was bad enough. Hopefully, Becky’s will be bought by someone with a vision of the potential this place has for a tourist attraction with some upgrades and additions of course. And it won’t be torn down to become another subdivision. We really did enjoy our stay and will probably go back. As civilization moves in and rednecks move out, I’m sure the clientele will improve.
What a find! Off the beaten path, locally owned and operated. Their specialty is steak, which my husband went for did not disappoint, but my sautéed shrimp dinner was good too. Lots of amazing antiques to awe at. Best part of the night was meeting Ms. Becky. This is a must experience!
