Sadly I’d give a half star or negative if it was available on the survey. The hotel was dirty from the moment we walked in the hallway carpet looked like it wasn’t vacuumed in a long time. The room was dirty and run down. There was hair in the tub and on toilet. The room was non smoking but smelled old and Smokey. During check out there was no one around to help or offer service. The breakfast offered was old looking, dried out bread . No water working for a fresher drink. We were very unsatisfied and will not ever stay here again.
0 stars wasn't an option. What an absolute dump of a hotel. Days Inn should be ashamed of themselves for allowing one of their locations to be in condition this one is in. The hotel is nothing like the pictures on the internet. Believe every picture of every bad review you see which is a lot. The entire second floor smells like an ashtray despite it being non-smoking, the sheets were dirty, there were bugs/old hairs in the bathtub, etc. I left after being there 10 min. I spoke with the front desk and voiced my concerns and Randy was very apologetic. He gave me a business card that I emailed the next morning and have received no reply yet to this day. I also submitted a complaint to the North Carolina BBB just to try and force their hand to contact me and/or refund my stay and that didn't work either. Save yourself the disappointment and go stay at on the hotels in Smithfield near the outlets. Days Inn corporate should do a better job of screening these business owners and do surprise visits for inspections if they will be representing their company.
Would give a half star if I could. Seemed like there was only one person working the entire hotel and he was never available. The entire place smelled like cigarette smoke, including our "no smoking" room. There was no ice available. The handicapped room was horrible! The bench in the shower was broken, the shower head was fixed in place and leaked, so even if the bench wasn't broken the shower would have been useless. No shelf in the shower to place shampoo and soap on. The light in the bathroom was held with with masking tape. An electric outlet in the room didn't have a cover. I was charged a "deposit" but wasn't told about it. No one at the front desk at check out to get a receipt. We will never stay there again.
Horrible. Do not stay unless you just like a horrible smelling hotel. Felt like I was in the shinning. We booked two rooms. One of the rooms had mold in the refrigerator that we had to clean ourselves. The front desk staff told us that the owner does not care about the hotel, and just does the bare minimum to keep it running. Which is evident by the way, the hotel looks and smells just disgusting, never again.
I would give 5 stars except that I was homeless, looking to buy a new house because I had sold mine in a forced sale and was staying in hotels all week long. In our area a local is not really welcome and after about two weeks they want you gone .... one weekend I stayed here and when I booked two nights on Priceline they said they didn't receive the booking and to go back and do it again..my records show that I had booked it and it was accepted . There's no going back. Somehow they convinced me to pay again in Priceline and I did and then they said they got it. I also got billed twice for that weekend by Priceline with no refunds. They said to get the refund from the hotel. I tried and they said they only got paid once. I'm Noteworthy details: Owner was very nice . Staff was accommodating to me and my two dogs. They let us come and go without any objections through the lobby and hallways with the dogs my side everyday.
