I came to just tent camp for the night. I don’t camp but found this costly and not at all nice. It was 80$ to pitch my 2 man tent myself and 2 small children. I thought camping was circular plots with some trees between each.. but haven’t been in years. This they sent me over to one large clearing where 6+ groups could camp, all facing each other. The ground was soaking wet you couldn’t even walk through it in late July and there was garbage and bottles in the fire pits and around the picnic tables. One RV parked on one side. We found a dry enough corner but even had to walk in water to get stuff out of the car. So mosquito infested we couldn’t even get out of the tent in the morning, and we’re all bit up from only being out to roast marshmallows. Thank goodness it was a Tuesday and we were the only ones or we would have dealt with other groups noise and looking at as. We rolled the tent and left soon as we woke because it wasn’t worth getting eaten and too wet to even put the tent in its case. The one good item was the lady was super nice. Really liked her. But not worth 80$ and not a pleasant experience otherwise. Maybe it’s more of an RV park. At least I fulfilled my 5 yo request to ‘camp’.. and it’s done now. I don’t think he’ll be asking to do it again.
Very friendly place. Enjoyed our stay. Will return.
Very unprofessional on the phone. I needed to cancel a reservation and was told on the phone that they do not have a cancellation policy however that was never told to me upon booking months in advance and is not found anywhere on their website.
Thoroughly enjoy spending time at this campground. There is a strong sense of community among neighbours and the nights are quiet. Convenient location to be close to Barrie but far enough away that the city stresses aren’t as obvious. Nice pool, mini put and a really nice park for the kids.
It was ok. The owner was very friendly. Just was not the kind of campground I was looking for.
Friendly staff, close to downtown...We camp here July 1st weekend. Site is clean and close to pool. One thing I didn't like was the amount of noseeums that come out while we were sitting out eating at the picnic table. Would also suggest electrical hookups be clearly marked for each site as we had to have office staff ask the site beside us to unplug from our electrical hookup as they were using 2 of the hookups their own site and one of ours. Staff very accommodating. Stuff may look run down but showed the clear effects of Covid on independently run places.
Pool was clean and refreshing. Quite place to relax Playground: Nice for children to play Restrooms: Clean Dog-friendliness: Dogs must be on lease
We love it here! They always have fun events for the kids. also the people are always so happy and welcoming. We Always have a wonderful time!!
The people that run the site are friendly. The site is very old and not well kept with the exception of some permanent sites. The pool is very old but usable. As a temporary, weekend site I definitally would not recommend it especially my pull through site which was only wider than my trailer.
If you want a clean, quiet park, this is it. Big lots for the trailers, 30amp service. So many activities for the kids and the adults. Lots and lots of room and is surrounded by nature and beautiful farmlands. The staff are friendly and very helpful. They do a great job keeping the park and washrooms very clean..we were extremely happy at Bee Happy Campground
