Bay Point Resort

To be honest- going downhill FAST! there’s a market where they sell ridiculously over priced food and it’s only convenient if you don’t want to drive 40 minutes to walmart in sandusky… however they close at 6pm? SIX… I don’t even eat dinner unti 7 or 8 so if i’m missing something I can’t go there. Plus if you call it just rings and rings and rings and no one picks up the phone. The security here has gone DOWN HILL! This place just lets anyone and everyone in with KIDS driving golf carts and people throwing loud parties that don’t end until the early hours of the morning. The member pool has obscure rules that no one follows and no supervision anywhere. the restaurant ‘the shores’ is subpar with food that’s over priced with sloppy presentation that’s screams “you are being over charged!” the beach concession stand has seating and lights on however never seems to be open sooo that begs the question what EXACTLY are we paying for? the restaurant is overpriced and bad, the market closes at 6pm and is beyond over priced, and anything else is closed with no explanation. not to mention letting anyone and everyone in - almost getting hit by a white jeep with two boys giggling and speeding through the “resort”. A group of teenagers driving in a golf cart loudly playing music and driving a tad reckless cussing at me as I drove by. The staff is beyond frustrating to deal with- all being teenagers and they literally have 0 customer service. Even called to order food and was told “no” multiple times before the girl said I had the menu from the prior year and when I asked what they DID have all she said was “pizza” and then laughed. It’s ridiculous, overpriced, and over rated. Save your money and just go to an actual resort

Food and beverage situation is a disaster. Ugh. Customer service at the front office is hit or miss depending on who you talk to, some some of them are super nice and others are downright rude. It's an otherwise great place that's dragged down by poor customer service.

Member only but definitely worth the trip!

Came here to inquire about membership. Ladies in office were rude and short with their words. Asked for a tour, was told not on the weekends. Asked if we could drive through and take a look at the place, again, not on the weekends. So apparently they expect people to take off work to do a self guided tour of the facility. Lost a potential membership in under 5 minutes

Beach is beautiful, as it has been for 40+ years. But now there’s a big restaurant and 2 tiki bars on that beach, which members pay for, that are open - at best - about 15% of the time. No staff, no service, no anything. Don’t know how they justify it.

Very nice and we'll kept. Bathrooms aren't always the cleanest but are clean enough that you're not grossed out. You definitely get what you're paying for. I love this place and hope to stay here. My family "came for a visit, and stayed for a lifetime"

I'm a new member to Bay Point Resort, and so far I am blown away by the beauty that is accessible in my home state of Ohio. Cedar point is viewable across the water, as it is only a half mile away. The beach was spouting smiles from family as well as staff. The bathrooms were clean and spacious. At the on site restaurant I experienced professional, relaxed, positive service. Really looking to spend the bulk of the summer relaxing at this wonderland.

Offered to sell me a membership, but would not let me and my wife look at the facilities. ??? I had called and talked with someone who gave me the breakdown and pricing before our trip. Once there, I explained we lived four hours away, and part of our trips purpose was to look into joining Bay Point. I'm surprised they expect you to buy in without any showing of the property. She gave me a membership form and at the same time said she thought now was not a good time for us to see it because everything inside the gates is currently a mess. Seriously you can't make this stuff up.

Food was okay. Pasta was cheay made, but other food was good. Pretzels were excellent. Service was miserable, slow and poor quality. Meal took 3 hrs. due to having to wait 20 minutes between ordering getting food and drinks and it wasn't that busy. Nice atmosphere, too bad service is so poor.

Love this place! Great people GREAT service!
