Nice atmosphere and really nice and timely staff! We got the eel roll, spicy salmon roll, fried soft shell crab and the sushi/sashimi plate! The sauce that comes with the soft shell crab is AMAZING

Jeff was an awesome waiter. Matty was an awesome chef. The food was excellent. It was cooked right in front of us with plenty of flair. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. My 6 year old granddaughter was smiling and laughing. All around it was an excellent experience. We will definitely be dining there again and again.
The food was fantastic and the presentation was spectacular! My steak was delicious and I look forward to my next visit.
Food & service were great! The chef was wonderful & entertaining.
I go here when we see one and this time I took my mother here for her 1st time experience she loved it the staff were friendly and the cooks were amazing definitely worth the dinner and show!!!

I went to Benihana of Pittsburgh and had a horrendous dining experience due to very poor and slow customer service from the waiter to the manager. Our party of 3 arrived a few minutes before our 6 PM reservation and were promptly seated at a hibachi table with another party of 3. Then we waited 15 minutes before the waiter came over to take our order. It took another 15 minutes for drinks to arrive. The 3 tables surrounding our table, who all were seated about 6:25 PM ALL had the hibachi fired up within 10 minutes. It took exactly ONE HOUR 7 PM after arrival to have the chef start cooking our meal. There was no explanation or apology. The food that was prepared tableside was good. One person ordered Benihana Excellence and another shrimp and scallops. BUT...one member of our party ordered a sushi and sashimi entre, which did not arrive until after we asked for a manager and after the other diners were 3/4 finished with their prepared neal. When it did arrive, the steamed rice was cold and the tuna was sick looking. The manager agreed that the tuna should be replaced but I had to wait a bit further before a substituted fish arrived. When the manager came to see what was our issue, she said that she would check in the kitchen and return. She then disapoeared for 20 minutes and only came back when I politely asked the waiter to ask her to return. Eventually, the GM came to our table to apologize and state that they would give us an unsolicited discount. I was appalled of the $10 discount, considering it wasn't an inexpensive restaurant. I usually write 5 star reviews or just chalk up a less than 5 star experience due to the restaurant having a bad day. This was such a negative dining experience and fell so far below other Benihana experiences that we have had in the past that I felt obligated to write this review.
We went to the Greentree location in Pittsburgh Pa. My husband whose birthday we were celebrating ordered Steak. There were 8 in our party. We had never been to this hibachi and didn't realize that the give everyone shrimp. So 1st we had to get them to remake 1 chicken plate because of the shrimp being on the hibachi & his plate. Then back to my husband. There were multiple steak orders and we thought 1 was for him. But the chef gave him chicken. When we questioned it the manager said well the waitress never takes a wrong order but we can make you a steak dinner at your expense. He had only taken 2 bites so once he realized that the chef put chicken not steak on his plate we said something. Now he doesn't eat chicken unless it's wings so we know he didn't order chicken. But instead of taking his plate and making him the steak he just did nothing. No offer to take a few dollars off or a free dessert. Just a sorry but the waitress doesn't make mistakes. So we paid and tipped 18% even though we weren't happy with the service. Our waitress was friendly but she didn't admit that maybe she didn't hear him because it was loud. So we will go back to Saga the next time we want hibachi.
It was my birthday dinner. We have been coming here for over 30 years, but this time was magical. The waiter was top shelf and right on the spot with all the courses. The chef shared his work experiences and was probably the best ever. And to make this even more special there were four Sagittarians celebrating including the waiter.
