They really care about our pets, very kind and sweet in their approach. Female owned, only women working here, it's very nice and refreshing. A totally different vibe compared to other clinics, a lot of compassion and kindness.

We took our buddy, Onyx, in after we were unable to get rid of his hotspot. The clinic was able to get us in the same day we called, so that was incredibly helpful. The staff were all welcoming and super sweet to our boy. Dr. Natalie Mayer was so informative for us and patient with Onyx. Absolutely recommend anyone looking for a vet!

They best place to go the Staff is very findly . When I had to put my boxer Jasmine down. They were so loving and caring they even sent me paw print and nose prints of Jasmine in my favorite color. I highly recommend them. 5 star.

I went there because Weddington animal hospital has proven over and over again that they are incompetent and all about the money.  The visit was $64 and they got my previous test results from Weddington animal hospital so they did not need to charge $150 for blood work. Within 5 minutes, they had realized Weddington animal hospital's mistake and were talking with me about getting my diabetic cats glucose under control, including foods I can buy at any store and the best place to get the insulin my cat needed. They acknowledged that I am on a budget and did everything they could to keep my costs down.  They were absolutely wonderful at Best Friends Animal Hospital and I will be going there again.

My dog loves going to Best Friends. Everyone is friendly, enthusiastic, and professional. They make sure to interact directly with the pets with no shortage of love, attention, or treats. They're also very helpful in answering questions or explaining things to owners. Thanks for making our visits so enjoyable!

People here are extremely nice and friendly! My dog was sick, snd they got her  diagnosed and sent her home with some medicine and shes now doing 100x better!

We've been going to Best Friends since 2006 and loved every visit! For those who think the prices may be higher, you really get what you pay for. BF boasts knowledgeable and well-trained staff and the highly personable Dr. Wendell, who is a great communicator no matter what your understanding of veterinary science is. She always answers questions directly and simply and spends all the time necessary to make sure we are satisfied. The facilities are very clean. Rudy also gets his "hair done" by Mary. She listens, is gentle, and always does a terrific job with his hair which has been somewhat of a challenge for other groomers in the past. Rudy is always happy to walk in the door, so I interpret that as his having a great experience, too. In regards to "high employee turnover," as mentioned in another review, almost staff member I have ever encountered is a college student aspiring to be a veterinarian. Therefore, one would expect that they would only have short careers at BF because they learn, graduate college, and are accepted into vet school! Yes, that is firsthand knowledge. I actually know one of the girls who went on to veterinary school.  EDIT: updated review 10 years later... I'm still going to BF, but Rudy has had his last visit. They took excellent care of him for his almost 15 years on this earth and gave him a graceful exit when it was time. I'd still give BF 5 stars today. Their staff is knowledgeable, patient, and kind, and my new canine friend gets excited to go for a ride to BF every time.
