I bought my bike from Elevation mainly because I live close to them and almost immediately I had issues with the rear hub. I brought it in to them three times complaining about it and they kept telling me the noise and vibration were normal. The third time I had it in I asked about a potential warranty situation with Trek. They said they would contact Trek and get back to me. About a week later I got a call saying my bike was ready but they did nothing about the hub and it was still making noise and vibrating, and they made no mention of contacting Trek. So a friend suggested I go to Bicycle Village and I'm glad I did. Chris who I think is the service manager agreed that it was not normal and quickly contacted Trek which replaced the rear wheel along with an upgraded hub and I am now good to go. Chris was great to work with. He kept me updated on the status from Trek and got the issue taken care of. And the two times I've been in BV the sales people have been available and friendly so BV just won over a customer from Elevation. BV is about five times farther from my house but it'll be worth it as my overall experience at BV was infinitely better than at Elevation.
Had a great experience shopping for a mountain bike here. I highly recommend checking this place out if youre in need of a either a mnt bike or road bike.
Zach went above and beyond making sure I was completely set up for my first road bike. He explained everything and answered my multiple questions happily. He was patient, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I’ll definitely be coming back to Bicycle Village for all my future bike needs. Overall the entire staff were great too!
Zach was great! I have been trying to buy a bike for my daughter for over a month. I contacted 8 different bike shops. Most of them just gave me the run around, 'we might have more bikes in September. ' Zach took the time to check inventory at his other stores, they were sold out. He didn't stop there, he took my name and number and said he would call if the bike came in. About 3 weeks later he calls me, they had the bike and he held it for me. That's service and caring! Thanks Zach!
The staff here is very friendly helpful. My girlfriend and I purchased our mountain bikes here and the process and help we got was amazing! To top that off the maintenance department wasn't hesitant to fix both my daughters' Mongoose mountain bikes and were very friendly getting things resolved with bikes that are not a line they sell. Highly recommend going through Bicycle Village for any purchases. Great store and staff!!
Excellent service and selection. I purchased my Trek 7.3 hybrid bicycle there and love my bike. What is even better is the service I always get when I need a repair or tune up on my bike. I ride approx. 400 miles a month and need periodic service. Jason the manager and the staff of the store are all extremely knowledgable and helpful. 5 stars all the way
I've always had great experiences with this store. Recently I made two mistakes broke my brakes and left a wheel that I just picked up from this store on the street and it was stolen. Kevin in service did everything he could to get me my bike back to me quickly while fixing the brake and Chris helped me get a new wheel with a discount after getting mine stolen that same day. This is a great shop with great people.
I made an online appointment for our two bikes to be serviced/tuned up. Both bikes were done within hours, and I picked them up later that same day! Outstanding, knowledgeable & friendly techs esp Kristof! Truly a great experience & highly recommended!
I'm so bitter sweet about this review. I bought a nice trek 29'r a few years back, and overall it's been a decent bike. Not amazing but not terrible either. The issue really is that every time there's a problem with it which has happened about 15 times now I bring it in and it never comes away fixed. I've spent hundreds of dollars on it and it's worse almost every time it comes back. The free adjustments would be great if it actually worked, but free has no value if the bike comes away with the same problems. I want to write a good review, as a whole the techs are very nice and friendly. Most of the sales staff is decent, except for the guy I bought the bike from, who I won't name. I have gone here since I was a kid for bikes, but honestly, I'm done with them. With that said, I've had similar issues with the specialized store across the street, so maybe I'll take up surfing or something.
My brakes were being really squeaky on a bike I recently purchased from Target. It was embarrassing to ride so I had been discouraged for a while. Well I had been doing some shopping today and while I was over by Barnes And Noble I decided it wouldn't hurt to have them check it out. I brought in my bike and everyone was very friendly. The guy who fixed it knew exactly what to do and even rode it around before giving it back to make sure he did a good job. Still makes a tiny noise but it's not as embarrassing, plus he said that's what would happen. Didn't charge me anything thankfully! I only had $20 in my bag! Not only are the brakes better but I feel like it rides better now that I'm not embarrassed to stop myself from riding into a car or something bad. He also was very quick. 10/10 would recommend. Bikes and gear were expensive, but service was excellent!
