Thank you Bicycle Village, Trek and Specialized bikes are sold here, along with Shimano, Sram, Bell, and 100 percent. Absolutely loved the hospitality and service all around. Great place to shop Coloradans
I went in to get my first road bike, and I was super pleased with the service I received. All of the staff seemed to have their hands full, but Randy was excellent and took the time to make sure I was set up with the right bike for me. Another associate, I think his name was Brent, helped me out when I came back later in the day to make the purchase. Even though he was running around to try to help multiple customers, he made sure to double check their inventory and was able to find some shoes my size. I really enjoyed my experience at Bicycle Village and I am super excited to start hitting the road this summer! Thanks guys!
I've had some good and some not so good experiences here. I'd gone here to have my old bike tuned up in the past since it's close to where I live, but mainly for the convenience of being able to walk home if needed. The service shop generally did well, but one summer I had to go back more than once because my brakes would be fine for awhile then I'd have to go back and get them adjusted again - I think I went back 3 times within a couple weeks. Granted they adjusted them free of charge since I had had a tune up there, but it was a bit inconvenient returning multiple times so I decided to try a different shop. So when it came to buying a bike recently I thought I'd give Bicycle Village a try again. The first employee we encountered was not very friendly and treated us as if we were annoying him by coming in the store this week. We walked into the roped-off corral and he just kind of looked at us until he finally indicated that we needed to use hand sanitizer, then we were let in. Another employee was friendlier, and did answer some questions about the bikes you have. I decided to shop around and think about it more and came back the next day because my dad wanted to check out some shorts. Same employee we met initially the day before asked if we needed help and when my dad said yes he was looking for a particular size without any luck the guy just pointed at another rack and suggested we check there, then walked away. We were so baffled that we decided to leave. I chose to buy a bike at Colorado Cycling Company instead.
I bought my Trek hybrid bike here in 2017. I picked it up a little bit before closing, but one of their employees I want to say his name was JP? stayed late to do my bike fitting since it would be a long drive for me to come back out some other time. I've been meaning to write this review for years to thank him and the store's great customer service. Sorry this was so late!
I came here 3 days ago to buy my first mountain bike from Burlington Co and I pretty much didn’t know what I was doing, and employee quickly helped me and soon saw that it was my first time. There was not many mountain bikes in the section that I was going to buy mine in but I found a Scott contessa active 60 and he helped me with adjusting the seat and taught me how I was supposed to get on properly. Thank you to that man for having patience and being kind in helping me find the perfect bike!
In my nearly 50 years of purchasing and maintaining bikes, I have never found a worse shop. Immediately upon entering, you are required to provide your personal contact information to be entered into a queue. If you even attempt to bypass that and walk your bike towards the service area, you will be harassed by a bevy of aimless and often clueless customer service folks near the entry. When you eventually get to the service area, it only gets worse. Even if you ask for a very specific maintenance task to be completed, they throw your bike up on the stand and take 10 to 15 minutes of unrequested time to note any deficiencies in your bike and then attempt to upsell you on them to the tune of hundreds of dollars. To move forward with the service you initially intended, you have to almost combatively decline the unnecessary services that they are attempting to pedal to you. The technicians seemed ill-equipped and the prices are two to three times more than what you would likely find in your neighborhood bike shop. If you're seeking an entirely overpriced and extremely generic corporate experience, visit bicycle village. If not, stay far far away. Couple side notes:. 1 Terrible tune - bike was returned in almost same state as drop off. 2. Horrid management.
I like the bicycle I purchased but the customer service here is awful. My son wanted to purchase a bike so we stopped in here convenient location. Prices seemed reasonable, so I purchased one too. Don't expect assistance . You must ask for it very European I suppose. Didn't get the impression that any of them were there to sell bikes. Whatever they were doing/talking about was more important. Be prepared for the checkout. Red tape before you can leave with a bike, and they use these ridiculous tablets as part of any transaction be sure you aren't stuck with someone over 25, 'cause the older ones have no clue... My son's bike is in decent condition. I took mine back today for an adjustment, because the chain was rubbing on the front derailleur for about 3/4 of the 21 gears. I suppose it's about 5 gears after the service , but, I dunno, shouldn't it work better? Maybe if you wear your padded biker shorts in you get more attention. I got the impression that they had never sold any bicycles before, or cared if they did...
Denied service for refusing to wear a face diaper on my face. Was in 3 weeks ago with no incident. Lost a life long customer. I even had $500 worth of merchandise in my hands I was forced to put back on the shelves while getting kicked out. Overpriced store anyways. I will not be given medical advice by my neighborhood bicycle shop. 10/21 came in a second time thinking maybe they got the message. Nope. Instead I was encountered by an employee that was trying to hand me a dirty mask. I asked her why is she giving me medical advice? She told me she is a “nurse”.
EDIT PART DOS: Andy, Chris, and a nice sales guy took time to redo the below experience. They were SUPER kind and really were able to answer all my beginner ish questions, and made good suggestions for stuff I might need in the future. Thanks for taking the time to work with me - I was super impressed on this return visit. I'll be back.... : EDIT: As the owner replied, I did reach out. No response yet.... I was just here, looking to buy my first bike since moving to Colorado. Excellent selection not many used, but really great prices. I was thrilled to find a bike that fit me well I'm kind of small, it's tough to find AND it was NEW and in my budget.... but then my experience at this store crashed hard. Two different employees tried to help me, but neither seemed very interested in talking to me. I had some pretty basic questions about what kind of bike I should get, and eventually what sort of gear to go with the bike, but was met with zero eye contact - both employees keeping their eye on the door, it felt like I was definitely not important. The kicker, I was not even permitted to test ride the bike I wanted to buy! I didn't even want to go far, just test to see how it felt as it rolled around, make sure i liked the feel of the brakes and the shifting, but nope. Not allowed. I could buy it and bring it back within 30 days, but no test ride. It's great if you want to run a store that has good selection and fair pricing particularly as bike stores seem to go around here, but I'm NEVER going to spend money in a place where I get treated worse than when I go to Wal-Mart.
I believe the issues with this shop fall on management/owner. If you're going to treat each customer like you're serving up fast food then fine. But the customers should be aware. If you're going to sell a $1,000+ bike then you should at least do a basic fitting and not be rushed to get to the next app. There should not be one staff member assisting a line of customers with appointments backing everyone up.
