The only bad thing I have to say is that the shelves are empty sometimes. Like completely empty. This is the one store that I spend hours in because I really enjoy going there. Employees are always great and friendly. Mostly clean and organized.

Great place to shop always. The customer services always so helpful and kind. Thanks for the great shopping experiences I come often. Nothing has really changed the customer service is still great and one of the neatest stores I've seen actually. You always are able to find great deals. Way cheaper than the supermarket that's for sure like food Lion and Walmart outrageous sometimes. Thanks again for another great experience
Big Lots once was one of my favorite stores. My mother and I went Big Lots, in Hopewell, VA, to do a little shopping. As soon as we entered the store, I noticed this tall fair skinned black man following us. It be your own people ebonically speaking. He walked slowly down the aisle we were on.  He stood on the end cap noticeably peeking. I said to my mom that guy thinks were stealing. We continued shopping. Every few minutes I would look up and I would see this same store associate, clearly following us around.  At the end of our shopping experience, we were at the register. My mom placed our items on the counter. The entire time the guy stared at the transaction.  He positioned himself directly behind the cashier and the door. It was like we were a TV show and he was transfixed in a weird psychotic way. It was a very uncomfortable experience. We weren't stealing. We had no intentions of stealing. I am 99% certain that I will never returned to that store again. The creepy  daylight peeping Tom's name is Alvin. I don't know if I look like a thief or if my mom looked like a thief.  Ironically my mother worked for the military,  AAFES in safety and security as the manager for over 20 years retired, which included loss prevention. So I'm not sure what our behavior was, that gave him the impression that we were the customers to watch. It was very uncomfortable and unwarranted. If that's how they monitor their shoppers they should reevaluate that procedure. I will not shop there again! I would not recommend! I usually don't discourage,  but in the climate of the world,  that behavior can end tragic. I would discourage others based on my experience.
I'm a fan of any place you can get a bargain and Big lots is a place you can get a bargain. What people sleep on is Big lots furniture, they have great furniture at reasonable prices, with payment plans and they can deliver. I like Big lots, they don't have a lot of things the bigger department store has, but what they do have they have great products and great prices and that is enough for me. Just found me a 28inch beautiful sky blue spinner suitcase for original price was $69.99, being a rewards customer I got 20 percent off today, thank you Big Lots
Besides the fact that this Big Lots was clean, brightly lit and well stocked, we found our pool inflatable toys on sale!! Thank you Big Lots. Plus we had an absolutely fabulous and friendly cashier who deserves 5 stars too.
Had for vacuum cleaner $89.00 and up none at that price the one I wanted in picture was $250.00 stick vacuum cheaper at Walmart. There prices have gone way to high to be a discount store now haha...
The staff actually greeted me as I walked in the store! I was disappointed that they don’t carry gift wrap or gift bags, but ended up making numerous purchases of seasonal items!

It took 22 min from the time I walked into the store to hear “we don’t have that recliner anymore and have discontinued selling it.” Me “well why TF is it on display with a price tag on it?” Manager: “because corporate said we could.” No wonder your stock has gone down 50% since exactly a year ago. Poor quality products, poor corporate leadership and poor customer service and management. All around trash.
