Carley was great at the front desk . The gentleman that took care of Bellas' nails was friendly and did a great job. I can always tell when people love their job. I only came by to get Bellas nails clipped today, but if something arises while I'm in this area, it's nice to have a go-to place for my animal care needs.
The only place I have taken any of our beloved furbabies Helped save 2 from very serious situations. Our Cane Corso is so loved from his his first puppy visit yrs ago that he loves going and is excited to see the staff along with the staff always remembering him by name
My rescue took in a puppy with severe prolapse issues. We decided to take Darwin to BVDH to figure out a treatment plan. We were treated so amazing. They welcomed us with such kindness and care. Loved on Darwin and took time to check him, put a plan together. Talked with me and went over everything to expect and what they can do for his future care. Highly recommended. These are such kind people.
Very awesome staff. We were passing through Big Spring, when our beloved Cocker Spanual 12 1/2 years old passed away. The staff was very professional and caring when they took the body of our fur baby. Thank you so much for the kindness and respect for our loved Coco.
I have taken two of my old dogs here and they have always taken great care of my babies! The team at Big Springs Veterinarian Hospital is amazing! They took their time to gave me multiple options on how to proceed which each of my dogs difficult cases! I highly recommend this veterinarian office as they care for your dogs and not for the money in your pocket!
The vets are animal friendly knowledgeable. The staff is nice. My dog came in today for his annual check up. I'm happy to stay he's come a long way but, was still rather nervous about coming to the vet. They were great, let me come back with him for his shots and blood work. One tech hugged him while I petted him and the other tech drew his blood and gave him his shots etc. She was quick but very gentle with him. He never flinched and he walked back happily with me to the room. He waited to we were alone before he ate the treat she gave him and sat next to the chair rather then under it as he first did. He was scared at first when the vet came in but then rembered him and although still nervous allowed the vet to look him over and even took a treat. He's still very food oriented but thankfully he doesn't over eat now and has slowed down while eating, even leaves food behind. The vet gave us great advice when we first brought him in, ,about how to help him over come the mistreatment by his owners that had him as a puppy. He's become a very happy doggie and has a few puppy friends and has been becoming friends with my friends and even initates play time with my husband. Thanks to the vet he helped us help Milo to becoming a well adjusted very loving and much less fearful dog. The vet thought it might takes years to help him overcome his fears but, it has been a year since he came to live with us and he has made great progress. He is healthy and happy, no longer mal nourished isn't afraid of his own shadow. Getting better with Most loud noises and doesn't run and hide and cower when new people come over. He's a very sweet and loving puppy he weighs 51lbs. now, he's very slim but very muscular. He Loves, Loves to run, he's very fast and very agile.
my dog was referred by my local veterinarian in san angelo to bsvdh for an echocardiogram. dr. marshall, aaron, and briana were great with my pup! they took my concerns seriously and answered all my questions. they were very caring, kind, and provided great care!
Can’t thank your team enough for all of our needs for the furry babies you guys have helped with from Rylee’s eyeball tumors to the new rescues rash. If I could give you more than 5 stars I would for your ability to always provide treatments that are effective, timely, and affordable.
I had the great pleasure of visiting BVDH last week which is the Gold Standard for animal care in west Texas! Their staff is welcoming, professional, highly effective and provides the ultimate in animal care and pet emergency services. As a pet owner for over 50 years, I have never been so impressed with the standard of care provided to patients. The management team is friendly, highly competent and the administrators are all knowledgable. The veterinary technicians are highly trained with empathy and total care is at the heart of their service to animals. Dr Alex Marshall is extremely competent; confident; thorough and has amazing communication skills as he explains diagnosis and offers pet owners a full range of treatment options. He expertly treats animals and provides critical care including emergency surgeries with the highest level of effectiveness for the most successful outcomes. This state of the art teaching Hospital has a complete line up of on site diagnostics including Xray's and a CT Scan machine. As a teaching hospital, they have an open door policy which allows for pet owners to watch procedures including surgeries if they feel comfortable. The Hospital itself has been expanded, updated and has large exam rooms, open treatment centre with recovering patients in full view, an operating room with 2 surgical tables, diagnostic rooms, and a huge education conference centre. In my opinion, this state of the art hospital offers the ultimate in Gold Standard care for Texas pets while this impressive Hospital offers full exposure and hands-on experience for externships to students from within the US as well as incoming Doctors from abroad. Congratulations to Dr Hurwitz and his highly effective team for the incredible contributions to pets and people in Texas!
I own an animal rescue located in Denver, CO and we went to the Big Spring Vet Diagnostic facility last week to vet some of the dogs we pulled from the local shelter. We were obviously exhausted and stressed finding out that the dogs we pulled needed to be treated and stay in medical boarding, but we felt such relief during and after our visit! Leslee and her team were fantastic and went above and beyond to help us with our dogs we rescued. I honestly can’t think of anyone better to have treated the dogs and been there for them through everything. The facility is gorgeous and extremely clean. It almost looks like something you’d see in a magazine. They have state of the art equipment and the clinic is almost like a “one stop shop” - you don’t need to travel all around town to find a clinic that does spaying, CT scans, or this or that - it’s all at their facility! The staff was extremely kind and attentive and took great care of the animals until I was able to bring them to our rescue in Colorado. I am so incredibly thankful and feel very lucky to have found such an amazing vet to partner with when helping dogs in Big Spring!
