On 5/31/22 my 16yo grandson ran away. It’s the first time he has ever done anything like that. After our personal attempts to find him proved unsuccessful, My daughter and I went to the local precinct, or rather district as they are called in Boston, to file a missing person report. Having recently retired after 34 years in law enforcement, I felt a little strange being on the other side of the desk. The desk officer, P.O. Grace greeted us with a friendly “Good morning, and didn’t act as if we were interrupting him. He asked the appropriate questions, and expressed genuine sympathy with our concerns. When he finished taking our report he stated that he would immediately send my grandson’s description out to the officers that were currently on duty. As my daughter and I headed home, we were both feeling stressed however I believed they would find him. I also appreciated that we weren’t made to feel embarrassed or ashamed of my grandson’s behavior. I fell asleep with my cell phone in my hand. A few hours later my daughter woke me up to tell me my grandson had been found by the police. An Officer Hogan plainclothes, was at the door. Once again I was greeted politely. He explained that a unit on patrol had found my grandson just walking several blocks away. The officers told him his family and police were looking for him. He agreed to have them transport him home. He was in good condition and unharmed but EMS was called to our house as a precautionary measure. Thank you Boston PD for finding my grandson and bringing him home safely. Thank you all for a job well done.
Captain Fong, please promote officer Smith from district 4. He saved us tonight. Car A1. We were lost in the city and could not locate our vehicle and were wandering the city for over 2 hours. After talking to several officers and given vague information on where to go, he took the initiative and helped us find out vehicle in less than 3 minutes because he listened to our description and had a remarkable understanding of the area. Thank you officer Smith! You protected and served and we truly appreciate you!
Hung up on me 4 times when I called to report a police vehicle with broken lights. They ticket us for broken lighting yet turn around and drive police vehicles owned by the citizens with broken lights. Illegal and a use of authority.
My car got broken into one night. And I go to this place looking for help. The front desk was unoccupied and was that way for about 10 mins. When the officer finally appears. he was rude and condescending. He asked questions about my car and where it was and appeared to be taking notes, but when I look at his paper he was scribbling things. Just so unhelpful and no urgency to help. It was like I was bothering him almost.
Very bad place to go for help!! I wish I took the African American female name just so I can post it on her.. very disrespectful!! I had to call to get the help I wanted from a operator... I've been here three time, and all three time the officer did not know what they were doing!! So happy I don't live in this stupid State!!!
Lost my wallet while in Boston for a conference and called the police depot to find out what I’d need to do in order to fly home in a couple days. Ten minutes later, they called me back and said someone had just turned in a wallet and they wanted to check if it was mine. It was!
I have a Dumbster permit and some one parked in my spot, called the police almost 3 hours ago they didn't show up yet. How come they are so fast to ticket you and so slow when you need them?
the men cops treet the lady's in lock up so mean the please should have the BOH go in there I've never been treated so nasty an disrespectful in my life I was a victim to a crime an they didn't want to help me to find the really person responsible for it they could not even give me a address to were my car was toed to they made threats they were not going to let me out an I had my bill money I hope he burns in hell im so hurt that they can get away with this an they took my ring an my meds an I had the paper work I'll find out there names an make a better post someone show look into this it's just wrong an I could not even get my 1 call I'm shocked
