I had severe spinal stenosis. I tried everything short of surgery. When I met with Dr Banco I was having trouble being able to carry on with my active life! He has saved me. He is professional, kind, and explains everything. I am on the mend right now. Each day I feel more like myself. I am able to stand straighter, grew a little! I would recommend Dr Banco to anyone with back problems.
I had a surgery in 2019 by Dr Banco. I had posterior laminectomy and fusion. When I woke up my right arm was paralyzed and I couldn't walk by my self. They lost signal in all my 4 extremities for 20 minutes . I was left with the worst pain of my life CRPS I had a bolt that came off the screw and slt bent rods. I have pain 24hrs a day.
In my opinion, Dr. Banco is a genius. A brilliant caring surgeon, and great human being. He performed my 8 hour surgery in 2007 after I had suffered through excruciating pain for more than three years partly due to ankylosing spondylitis and an erroneous diagnosis from a local doctor. He was very cautious about doing the surgery. I knew all the risks but trusted him completely. Here I am in 2019 relatively pain free and still mobile! Very, very grateful!
I have been being treated by Dr Banco since 1989. He has performed 4 surgeries on my neck that have been successful. I first thing that struck me about him was that he will do everything in his power to avoid surgery. He only performs surgery as a last resort. He kind, compassionate and very understanding and will listen to everything you have to say before making any recommendations. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr Banco.
I had two discs removed by Dr Banco, and hardware put into place. Upon waking up I had bad problems and my right leg became paralyzed. Had a second surgery to remove a badly placed bolt as it hit soft tissue. I did not get better but worse. Dr Banco refused to help me and said my problem was I was depressed ! I went to Leahy Clinic and they found ALL the hardware had been installed wrong hitting soft tissue. They had to remove all the hardware.
Dr. Banco was my 2nd opinion. He ordered tests that my first surgeon never even bothered offering never mind ordering. Discovered the damage wasn't just in my lower spine but in my neck too. If I had let the 1st surgeon operate on me there was a very high probability I would have been paralyzed due to the spinal stenosis in my neck. Forever grateful to Dr. Banco for discovering it in time.
Dr. Banco saved my life by performing back surgery on me. I went from being in severe pain to being pain free to this day. While I have not seen him in a long time and hope not to need to again I still think of him fondly and appreciate the work he did. If you are suffering from back pain you can trust Dr. Banco to help you!
Dr. Blanco changed my life of chronic arm and neck pain After a fall I had, which left me with 2 bulging disks in my neck. He did my Cervical spine surgery some 20 years ago at the NE Baptist hospital. I am pain free and have perfect range of motion. He is an amazing surgeon and I highly tecommend him.
I have known Dr Banco since 1992 when diagnosed with a bulging C6-7. It caused significant pain, weakness and numbness to my right shoulder and arm. Dr Banco said "I can fix it", so I took him at his word and by God I was back to work as a firefighter in no time. Since then I've had to have fusions of L3-4 and L1-2, also done by Dr Banco. Back to work with no limitations afterward. Dr Banco has the best compassion and bedside manner that is a model for all MD's. He treats me as his '''brother" and I consider him the same. God Bless this man.
Dr Banco and Sarah are the best as are their staff, Erica and Kristen! They took excellent care of me and the surgery went very well. I have them to thank for being able to run and jump again. I highly recommend this practice.
